Walther PDP - Pretty Damn Phenomenal

If they add some forward weight, I'd be good with it. Some people say they do and some say they can't see a difference. It may depend on what ammo your shooting. I'll have to check out the SCS. I should look to see if my Q5 and the SD Pro have the same foot print for Red dots. No, they...

Part # 87888 is the spring kit for the PDP competition trigger from Sprinco. This is the only link I can find for the spring kit right now...

Walther PDP - Pretty Damn Phenomenal

That's good for me to know, if I decide to buy a red dot for the PDP That is the one I will go for since it's direct mount. I bought it to be open sights but I have a Red Dot on my Q5 and there is definitely an advantage to having them.

Walther PDP - Pretty Damn Phenomenal

That is one thing the PDP definitely needs in my opinion, is more weight. Mine has the threaded barrel and I was thinking about putting a compensator on mine just add forward weight to it. They are kind of a pain though and I don't know how much it would actually help with 9mm. Not a lot of...

Walther PDP - Pretty Damn Phenomenal

I have the Q5 match Steel Frame Pro and the PDP SD Pro. I prefer the Q5 SF Pro over the PDP SD Pro. The bought the SD Pro for my range gun and it to me is harder to shoot accurately, probably because of the difference in weight. I put put a new trigger spring kit and recoil...

    Lee six pack pro opinions

With six stations I would have hoped you would have bought the lock out die instead of a powder cop die. You don't have to watch a lockout die, it will just stop your press on a no-charge or a double charge. As far as the press goes, I will let others who have been using it for a while now...

What reloading components have you overbought?

I don't consider it overbuying, I consider it planning for the future. And I have planned very well.

    Teaching my Son to Reload

I wet clean in an ultrasonic cleaner and use plated bullets. I still made them wash up when their done. I won't dry clean any fired cases, they get the ultrasonic first then dried, loaded and then tumbled in my rotary tumbler for 15 minutes to get the lube off before shooting.

    Teaching my Son to Reload

My grand daughter would help me in the reloading room when she was younger, I had her seating bullets when she was five. She had to stand on a stool to reach the press. She's 16 now and has other interests of course.

    Teaching my Son to Reload

Your lucky, my son has no interest in reloading. He sure likes to shoot my loads though.

Should I have passed on it?

Those cheap guns at not so cheap prices are getting more expensive, that in my book would still be a $50-100 dollar gun, not a $200 dollar gun. They will never have a high value no matter how long you keep them. Won't be fun to shoot because of the trigger pull, and probably not accurate past...

Stopped Cleaning your Gun! I did - You Too?

That's a fact, I clean my brushes every other time I clean my guns which is every range trip. It's just a pride of ownership thing with me. You do what you want. It always struck me funny about putting bore/copper cleaner on a copper brush and leaving it on there, just didn't ever make sense...

    RCBS cracked at top??

Can you take a picture of the crack and post it here? It may not even mean anything. It may have been there since it was cast. Granted, no one can tell if it's been there since it was cast from a picture, but I would still like to see a picture of it. Those presses are built heavy enough...

Primers at the local Academy sports

Our Fed X is very poor around here. I always expect trouble when they are delivering packages. We went through a spell where peoples packages were disappearing at our local hub. The employees were stealing them and selling the contents. It got bad enough the local newspaper got involved...

    SHORT CARTRIDGE CASE QUESTION?????

He said case length, that means nothing if the COAL is still the same length as the recipe dictates. A shorter case doesn't change the volume unless the seating depth has been changed. Internal volume is still the same.

Primers at the local Academy sports

Our local Academy Sports and Sportsman's Warehouse are both asking top dollar for their primers. $90.00 a thousand and up. 6 months ago I was paying 45.10/k of the Rem 1 1/2s. Power Pistol is $46.00/lb, even Win 244 is now $46.00/lb. Vihtavuori is only $6.00/lb more than the old legacy...
