my 357 or my 44 Special?

Me thinks either one will cause a BG to have a Bad Day. I prefer the .44 SPL as I like big bullets, but the .357 Mag will not let you down.

How many rounds minimum are borderline sufficient in your semi auto pistol?

I went with 8+1 and feel that is adequate in my Colt Combat Commanders for Concealed Carry. On occasion I will carry two extra Wilson - Rogers 10 round mags. The 10 round Wilson - Rogers Mags function flawlessly in all my Colts, but they do need to be broken in.

S&W PPK vs. Interarms: could it be the magazine?

The Walther bite was pretty much eliminated with the S&W PPK and PPK/s models. S&W redesigned the top portion of the grip area to prevent the web of your hand from getting creased as the slide slams rearward. I have an Interarms SS PPK/s in .32acp made in 1998 and it will really bite if I...

NAA .22 Barrel size / favorite tiny concealable's

I own a NAA Black Widow Convertible (.22LR / .22MAG) and a NAA Mini Master in .17 HMR. I carry the BW in the BUG role whenever I carry. The Mini Master is used in the plinker and range role. Any of the NAA minis are capable of much better accuracy than 5 feet if the shooter does his or her...

    Home Defense Wheelguns

Happiness is a CA Bulldog .44 SPL for HD My choice for a Home defense Revolver has been a first edition (Stratford, Conn) Charter Arms 3" Bulldog .44 SPL for the last 34 years. It is light weight, fits my hand and has been 100% reliable. It works for me!

    What's Your Favorite J Frame??

My favorite J Frame is the S&W Model 60-4 3" .38spl with ribbed barrel and target sights. This model has the standard external hammer. A bobbed or hidden hammer would work best if there is a need to carry the J in a pocket.

What's your age group and what do you carry?

While I chose 50+ and revolver I also carry an all steel 1911 CMD often. :p

    SP101 .22 update

The Ruger SP101 .22LR does not use the typical Rimfire firing pin. The firing pin in the Ruger SP101 will not hit the cylinder when dry firing! The cylinder will not be damaged.

Why Arent 9mm Revolvers More Popular?

I would think most would go with the .357 MAG rather than the 9mm in a revolver due to the ballistics involved and the hassle involved with rimless cartridges in a revolver.

What's Wrong With Polymer Framed And Striker Fired Guns

I do not see anything wrong with either, but I prefer steel. ;) I do not own any Striker fired pistols at this time, but own several Polymer and Aluminum alloy framed pistols.

Top H&K poll- for the H&K owners and enthusiasts!

HK poll response I voted for the USP Full Size / Compact only because I own 4 USP's: 2 in .45ACP (1 Full size - SS Slide, 1 Compact) 1 in 40 S&W (Compact) 1 in .357 SIG ( Compact) I have not fired any of the others except the P7 many years ago and I did not care for it due to the large...

Mid to full size guns in .32 acp

Take a look at the Walther PPK/S built by Interarms and later by Smith & Wesson. The Walther PPK/S is essentially a PP with a PPK barrel & slide. The Walther PPK/S is not a subcompact! I purchased an Interarms SS PPK/S .32ACP NIB in December of 1998. These were made in Alabama under...

    Favorite .45

We'll I was issued a 1911 .45ACP back in 1965 by the Good ole USMC and to this day still think highly of this design! These days I carry one of my Colt Combat Commanders often. Over the years I have added other .45ACP Autos to my gun safe and carry them occasionally - Ruger, HK, SIG, etc...

    Bullhide belts dot com??

Do not know anything about these belts, but You have aroused my interest. I am going to take a serious look. Oh by the way: "Who do You trust when everyone is a crook." In that case I trust no one and I take a Second look at Myself! :D Just could not resist this one. :neener:

    P90, P97 or P345?

Go for the P345 I own a KP97DC & a KP345. I owned a KP90 back in the mid 1990's also but found the grips a little large for my hand, other than that it was a great shooter. The P97 is an excellent choice if you can find one, but if I had to choose just one of these it would be the P345 over...

Worst Revolver You Ever Bought ?

Worst Revolver I owned We'll for me it was a Wesson Arms 738P. I purchased it back in 1993 NIB and from day one I had issues with the Hand spring. This was a well built revolver that was a good shooter as long as I shot it in single action mode, but if I tried shooting it in DA mode rapidly...

First Gen CA Bulldog .44 vs Current CA Bulldog .44 offerings

How do the Current Charter Arms Bulldog .44 offerings compare (Quality, Reliability, durability) with the late 1970's / early 1980's 1st Gen models prior to Charco? Charter is offering a 3" Bulldog .44 this year. CA has not offered a 3" model Bulldog .44 in many years. I am thinking about...

Which is better car gun: Glock 17 or Ruger GP 100?

I think would go with the Ruger GP100. Less rounds but much more power in .357 Mag. :scrutiny:

    PPK USERS!!!! accuracy question .32acp

My InterArms SS PPK/s .32 acp gives great accuracy out to 15 yds with Win FMJ. Reliability is excellent with all hardball and most HP ammo.
