The beginning of the .308 shortage.

Any legitimacy if these news stories? Lol. Apparently "sniper rounds" is the new thing.
I was just thinking. Ammo is hard to find and expensive. 7.62x54r is quite available at least in my area. I don't know much about ballistics but I'd assume the 54r and the .308 have similar characteristics.
If the 54r would be just as adequate at hitting targets at ranges that the .308 is why...
At a few of my local stores there is no .22lr. You could find some before the holidays but could only buy a box of 100 at a time. Now you can't find any. .223 seems to be in abundance which is odd to me. 30-06 is in abundance, and .308 is scarce but you can still get the NATO stuff. .308 has...
I've heard alot about states having open carry and what not. But I can't find out which states actually practice it. Open carry doesn't mean a whole lot if its not actually practiced.
Any input from you pro gun state citizens?
This is a touch late for one of the threads and I don't want to take it off the point. This picture was posted on our local tv stations website and has been going around Facebook. I have never seen it before but if it checks out this is the type of things your kids are learning in school. It's...
Hey guys.
I will soon be purchasing my first rifle. I have a little but of experience with pellet rifles and such but I'm sure my technique is far from perfect. Without getting into rifle type and caliber I was wondering what I should concentrate on first.
My main reason is I have very...
Sorry for my lack of technical knowledge. I saw on a list that the M1 carbine is banned, but I was wondering if the m1a is also banned. It's a gun I've wanted for some time now and didnt know if I'd ever be able to buy one due to recent events. Thanks and sorry for stupid question
I've noticed that it seems some m1a stocks are a darker wood than others. I know the stocks are walnut, but the scout squad stocks seem lighter than the walnut stocks on other versions of the rifle. I prefer the darker color so can anyone shed some light on them? Thanks

Found this while searching the definition of a mall ninja. I have been laughing my *** off reading this. Feel free to delete if it's a repost but I'm sure some people haven't seen it yet.
I have never been to a range that allowed you to place your own targets, whether it's paper or steel and soda cans whatever. I've only been to ones with little keypads to send the target out and back and stuff.
When I buy my first rifle I'll be forced to use the one and only public range my...
I am looking at XD 40's for a possible duty pistol, so my friend let me shoot his. All of my pistols are 3 inch barrels and the xd 40 was a 4. I can't believe how much of a difference a 4" is over a 3. I shot 2 full clips at about 2 shots a second and put almost every shot in a 3 to 4 inch...
I shoot a Ultra Carry and was having problems with it feeding due to a slight limp wrist issue. Now I tightened up my grip on the 1911, it shoots great now, but now I get very shaky after some time of shooting. I did a quick search and people on here say when you get the shakes you can loosen up...
