    Pocket Gun

I will even move down to a North American Arms mini if it’s all I can get away with for a second gun depends on what I am doing and how I am dressed.

    Pocket Gun

I like the LCP for what it is. Very light and easy to conceal in a pocket. The Seecamp is heavier but it fits in smaller pockets. I use whatever tool fits my pocket best at the particular situation. J Frame in a pocket is my cargo shorts yard work option.

Your perfect duty pistol and backup?

I am currently able to carry my own duty pistol (within certain parameters) and I chose the Glock Model 45 in 9mm with factory night sights and a Surefire X300 Ultra weapon light. I qualify with a Glock Model 26 9mm, a Glock Model 43 in 9mm, and a Smith and Wesson Model 642 in .38 Special. 9mm...

    Pocket carry consideration

Pocket carried Smith and Wesson J Frames for many many years. Walther PPK too. Seecamp 32 when it was king. North American Arms 22 Magnum mini revolvers also. Beretta 21A. Kahr PM9 when they came out. Glock 43. These days it’s LCP if I pocket carry at all.

    .32 ACP notions...

I have a Colt 1903 that is an heirloom and a Seecamp that I bought when it was the best deep cover option available. I would consider a Ruger LCP in 32 if it were an option.

My Agency is one of the largest in my State with a mix of mostly Glocks and Smith and Wesson M&Ps mostly in 9mm with 40 and 45 being options too. Remington 870s with 14 inch barrels and personally owned AR platform rifles in squad cars. State issues 9mm Glocks.

I know some of the staff personally and they are polite, helpful, and definitely know their stuff. I make the vast majority of my firearm purchases there. Worth the drive.

Your perfect duty pistol and backup?

I have an “approved list” to choose from and currently run a Glock Model 45 with a Surefire X300 Ultra light and a Glock Model 43 as a backup pistol. I have carried 1911s, Smith and Wessons, Berettas, and Sig Sauers along with Glocks of several calibers over the years but this combo works well...

My Agency (local City PD 100 sworn) carries personally owned pistols from an “approved list” which are mostly Glocks, Smiths, and Sigs in 9mm. Prior Agency issued Glock 40 caliber. I carried a Glock 21 in my Agency prior to that and a Colt 1911 in my first Agency. Carried M-9 and M-11 in the...
