    Lock n Load AP???

when you get your vibra-prime i'd take a look at the "tuning" on this thread. http://www.brianenos.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=198782 GL!

    Electronic Scale Recommendation

I have and recommend the GemPro 250. Got it on amazon a few months back for around $120-125. No issues with flourescent or LED lights i've noticed. I did notice it sucked dry some batteries pretty quickly, so it's AC powered now. As for the old will knots "modified" ones - it's just a...

    Lock n Load AP???

I found the Hornady setup videos helpful to understand how it works and what is/isn't included. Besides the accessories you need with any press, it seems like only the shell plate and dies aren't included. For the basic setup. Adding a case feeder of some sort and other stuff obviously will...

Letting others use your reloading equipment...

I wouldn't hesitate to let a close friend use my press, with my supervision. It's a great excuse to hang out and help a brother out. Some random person - hell no. Family or my chosen family (friend) - no worries. In fact he bought the .40 conversion kit for my press to load up his own. I...

one handed reloading /priming tips needed

Glad you are OK and on the mend! Looks like you are going to buff up that left hand a bit. Short of a progressive, that's going to be slow and a lot of exercise for your off hand! The only other option is "quality time" with the wife helping! GL!

    I broke down...

Congrats and welcome to the sickness! I've been tempted to try molding as well... Resisting so far! What caliber are you casting? Let us know how it goes and i'll follow along! GL!

    Eggleston 9mm coated oal?

I had similar issues/concerns with some hi-tech coated 135gr 9mm. TC - i found by testing in my 3 9mm barrels that i needed a OAL/COL of 1.09x or less for the most restrictive one. (trying to recall from memory - i think it was 1.097 or 1.095 - definitely on the verge of the "minimum" COL)...

    Chrono choices?

DudeDog - Almost all of the LED kits i've seen for chronos are IR/Infrared LEDs. I know you can find IR LEDs online, but they are not inexpensive like those SMD rolls of LEDs you linked. (i'm a huge fan of SMD LEDs - so flexible and so many uses you can find for them!) Curious if the non-IR...

    First squibs

I've had 2 squibs in the last 6 mo. And a friend had one as well from the same batch. Both were "reman" ammo purchased from a reputable company. Super frustrating. Not willing to knock them publicly as they are sending some replacement ammo to make it right. My last one was during steel...

    Chrono choices?

bbqloader - i've used the tripod a few times now and it works fine. Not super sturdy, but plenty for the small lightweight chrono. It's a bit flimsy if you are used to a nicer photography tripod. If you were shooting frequently in higher wind, i'd simiply add a hook and hanging weight to make...

    Chrono choices?

Thanks Toprudder. Yes - first thing i did was move the chrono further away - thinking it was muzzle blast causing the error. Fresh batteries, wired to my phone - chrono showing error, so wasn't a comm issue w/ my phone, but an error with the chrono. IR w/ full batteries indoors... Some of...

Thoughts on these? (Ultrasonic cleaner and mini tumbler)

I tumble my brass, and use my decent (lab model used on ebay) Ultrasonic for cleaning guns and other things. I got the big 18lb HF tumbler and it's a BEAST! cleans a ton of brass in one go. Quiet too, which is nice.

Hornady LNL AP or Dillons 650\550

I agree that if you are comparing progressive 5 stage presses - it's between the Hornady LNL-AP and Dillon XL650. Not the 550 (great press though it seems to be). How about this - pick one and start loading! Either will work, both make ammo that will go bang (minus user error). If you have...

Competition Electronics Digital Link for Chrono

My mistake on the version of the OS. Looks like BT (lack of or incompatible). It's not uncommon for one major version to the next some become outdated. Good to know CED is keeping compatibility back to an old version like 2.x

Staining brass for identification or aesthetics

maybe i missed it being mentioned in this thread, but someone suggested some mechanics marking fluid. I got some from McMaster Carr - blue and red. Like a bingo blotter. works great to stain the brass. I stained some of my .45 ACP brass. Red is more visible. Blue less so...

Competition Electronics Digital Link for Chrono

It's the tablet. It's hard to tell which RCA tablet you have - i see some single core 7" tablets, and other 7" tablets that are quad core. If you have a specific model # i can give you exact details - including possibly rooting or installing a new Android OS which hasn't been released for it...

    Titegroup and .45 ACP

Shooting to the sights just fine it seemed. I was not testing groupings and will have to go to the range again with some more reloads to do that and see which is most accurate. I was just trying to confirm everything would cycle, and chrono - while shooting plates with my 9mm. Busy night so...

    RCBS Uniflow Powder Measure

In the search for better/more-consistent drops of challenging powder (700x in my case) i did the whole polish/baffle/graphite "tune-up" on my Dillon powder measure. Seemed to help a lot. The polish took about 15-25 minutes (depending how many interruptions). I didn't go all the way to...

    Titegroup and .45 ACP

Nice! great to compare with my last chrono session. Thank you. I shot some of the american reloading pulled 230gr TMJRN bullets. If you don't mind i'll include my info to compare w/ yours? Titegroup, S&B LPP, 64* (indoors), 230gr TMJRN, 1.20 COL, Kimber 4": 4gr - low 667fps, high 687fps...
