I used to think they were junk, just intended to be cheap, but after using them, I really like them.

'Son Of A Gun' - Mythbusters..

The first story made my bag of genetic material pull up. The scope was a soviet PU scope on a Moisin Nagant sniper rifle thats about 6" long. It was a Hathcock story, it probably has happened before. Hence the more than one story. I am always amazed when someone says, this could happen, or...

    Bought a Mossberg 500 JIC 12 ga. & a S&W 5906

I think you will enjoy it. A lot of guys will fuss about it having a pistol grip, just shoot it yourself, and make up your own mind.:)

    benelli m4 opinions

I think they are pretty reliable, I think the Benelli M4s are US issue along with Remington 870s and Mossbergs,, in Iraq and Afganistan.

    First Single Action - 44 or 45

I like both, just about 50/50. If I was going to go 45colt, I'd get 4 5/8th" barrel. This is the best balance with the alloy grip frame. If I get 44Mag, I don't think you can improve, on the 7 1/2" SuperBlackhawk. 5 1/2" might be OK, but I havent shot one yet. You really should give the 41Mag...

Most comfortable revolver chambered in .357?

I like the 3 screws just fine. And loading 5 in the wheel is no biggy. But, I also have no problem with the New Models either. I think a Ruger Blackhawk is THE 357! (.) < that's a period. One of the most beautiful handguns in the world, is a Blackhawk with most of the finish worn off. Through...

Question about Ruger New Model Blackhawk

Cant go wrong! My favorites in order. .357Mag, 45Colt, 41Mag. The 41mag is probably the best Blackhawk made. But I dont reload for 41 anymore. If I get another I will. All with 4 5/8" barrels.

    S&w m-13

You will love it. I had one in nickel, swapped it off for something, thinking I would get another, never have. The fixed sights will probably shoot to point of aim,@ 25yds, with 158grain mag loads. Smith 38s and 357s fixed sight models are regulated to 158s.

Snake Loads! What do you use.

I meant to be clearer when, speaking of eating snake. I realize the main difference between birds and reptiles are feathers. I have eaten rattlesnake, fried in butter and garlic. It's not particularly bad. It just doesnt taste like chicken. It may be that I'm not preparing them right. It may...

    Non-1911 .45s

+1 on Ruger P97, also have found Ruger P90s to be totally reliable, and accurate. If I'm going to have a plastic pistol, it will be Glock. :scrutiny: or P97

Rock Island Armory 1911 Torture Test

1858, those sound like wonderful tests for YOUR guns. Be sure and tape them for us to watch. "That's it." then you were paying attention. That's all he WAS saying. If only a test of your choosing is good enough. Jump on it. Make sure it somehow applies to the real world though...

Rock Island Armory 1911 Torture Test

Reading is Fundamental. So is comprehension. His point is it doesn't have to be $1500-$2000 1911, to be reliable. Not that he is selling or buying RIAs for that kind of money. Not to prove the 1911 is better. Not prove his mud is more reliable. Or any of the...

    S&W Model 2????

KTMarsh, These pictures are a great help, but 1 more from the left side would give us a view of the side plate, and help a great deal in determining the correct model. As the first 2 or 3 versions had different shapes.

    mossberg 24"slugster "smoothbore,barrell question.

As for the porting holes, any of your shot loads whateversize, will still be in the shot cup as it passes the ports, and probably will for another 15-20ft. too. I'm a big Mossberg fan ,also.:)
