All I've got to say is that two guys approached me at 6:15pm in the parking lot of my employer's business, one of whom began asking me for the time. Next thing I knew, I was abducted at gun point. The event fundamentally affected my life. And it all turned out to be a practical joke. Yeah...
The three of us buddies would split the cost of a blood-broke horse for mostly elk. In the field, not accessible to motorized vehicles, we'd gut, skin, saw, and minimally butcher an animal to pack out in panniers. Packing out meat in backpacks via multiple trips is for younger men. It's a...
I do look at my surroundings; armed or not. I interact with strangers as minimally as possible, except bartenders, wait staff, and cashiers. Regardless, some folks will approach and I will shake my head. I am not aware of any special stink-eye or FAFO look. The head shake is usually all that...
I like it very much. It feels solid in the hand but not too heavy on the pocket. The action is sure and the possibility of accidental activation is quite small.
I am thankful that, in spite of my other impediments, I am right-handed. I have enough trouble with life without having to be left-handed. My Beloved is not so blessed. She believes she's in her "right mind." I believe she's out of it.
What do you think of the unique blade release? I have one and it took some practice in order to get my thumb to the right spot with pressure. I still like the knife, though.
I sold my Star PD to get myself some food and gasoline for the truck. In better times, I sold a handful of working and reliable handguns in order to fund my wife's Nighthawk. I've sold nothing since for want or need.
I carry a 1911 Commander in .45 acp and have for 14 yrs. I've competed in IDPA matches with it. I liked how one non-centered hit with the .45 would knock down a popper and how folks with 9mm guns didn't enjoy that advantage. That said, I have re-thought my carry and after searching and...
When I carry the little P365, I use the petite 124 gr HST regular ammo. When you're shooting spitwads to begin with, a couple of fps don't matter enough to bother with +P.
:neener:
It's a relatively heavy combo, but I was in construction and so, fairly fit. I only used a synthetic-stocked stainless Win 70 with the BOSS system in 7mm Rem mag topped with a Trijicon Accu-Point scope set at 6x. I only hunted in northwest Colorado which was simple since I lived in the Denver...
Eyeballing that Kimber model was what got me interested in a double-stack 9mm 1911-style pistol. I looked around and settled on the Wilson Experior model. I was happy to read that you also had the Wilson SFX9 and the Stealth Arms Platypus for comparison. Thank you for posting.
I've successfully hunted in Colorado, north of Craig, for antelope, mulies, and elk with an Accupoint in red for many years. If I were to look for another scope for hunting, I'd get the same thing again.
