    Ruger M77 ejector pin

Never mind, I don't think that is the problem. At least I know the cartridge sits flush now. Thanks RC.

    Ruger M77 ejector pin

RC, Your idea worked great. I used a bolt and a cabinet door clamp. That problem is solved, the cartridge now sits flush to the bolt face...however, the bolt still does not rotate completely when chambering a round. It looks like the extractor may have a burr where is contacts the casing...

    Ruger M77 ejector pin

My bolt failed to close with a round due to the ejector not compressing enough to allow the casing to sit flush against the bolt face. I removed the ejector retaining pin, spring and ejector. The spring was heavily rusted. I cleaned and lubricated all parts but I can't figure out how to...

    Considering a 41 mag, 44 mag, or 45 colt

Thanks for all the advice. I decided to go with a .44 mag Ruger SBH Stainless 5.5". I'm pretty sure a .41 mag will be in my future someday. So now I will start researching for a good .44 mag handload to get me started. Rich

Any good sources for used guns out there? The local gun shop is pretty limited.

    Considering a 41 mag, 44 mag, or 45 colt

Thanks for all the discussion. All good stuff to think about. What I'm gathering from the wide range of opinions is that any of those calibers will be just fine. It's going to be a tough decision. Probably will be a blackhawk or older model Vaquero, see which one feels better in my hand and...

    Considering a 41 mag, 44 mag, or 45 colt

Can I shoot 44 special in a 44 mag revolver or do I need a different cylinder?

    Considering a 41 mag, 44 mag, or 45 colt

Hi all, I'm considering the 41 mag, 44 mag, and 45 colt for my next handgun. I will be using it for punching holes in paper, a back up sidearm for pig hunting and in bear country, and, who knows, I may even try Cowboy Action shooting. I will be handloading so I would like a range of loads...

    Lee Auto Disk

Thanks MrWesson, I had to look up what "uspsa minor" meant. Now you've got me thinking about learning to shoot action pistol. So, is the 4.6 gr of WSF with a 124 gr FMJ one of your competition loads? what COAL ?

    Lee Auto Disk

Thanks, Based on your recommendations, I looked into both ideas. The reviews are poor for the adjustable charge bar on 9mm sized powder drops. Looks like I can get an extra set of disks from Midway for 10 $ and then increase the size of the .43 until I get my target powder drop of 4.8 gr. (I...

    Lee Auto Disk

I am trying to work up an accurate 9mm load for my G17 using WSF powder and 124 gr plated or FMJ bullets. I would like to get 4.8 gr of WSF but my problem is the Lee Pro Auto disk on my classic turret press will dispense 4.6 gr with the 43 hole and 5.1 gr with the 46 hole. Is that the range I...
