I have a old Hopkins and Allen revolver (BP) that is "worn out" but given enough $ it could be returned to shooting shape. Sadly I have fired zero rounds from it (nor has my father) but it was passed down to me from my him. My hope is to eventually find the $ so that he can shoot it once...

Off topic but I too love my SD9VE. Worth WAY more than the street price.

I considered the SCCY CPX-2, the Ruger LC9, the Kel-tec PF9, the Kahr CM9, and the S&W Shield for a smaller carry 9. I know this is going to sound like the "buy a glock" argument that pops up all over the place but IMO save up the $ and buy a shield. I didn't mind the feel of the other guns...

Nashville Armory has a nice setup and rents full auto guns. It's about 3 miles off of your route through Nashville, TN.

Yeah. Kirby vacuums are actually really good. I use a $40 walmart special vac but my parents have a kirby that's older than I am and it's fantastic.

You beat me to it. I picked up an M200 last year that now lives with my mother. I got it and put a few hundred rounds through it before I passed it on to her. Very basic functional gun.

I've got one of the original version for my SD9 and it's great. I have one of the 2.0's on the way for my Shield. Will be interesting to be able to do a direct comparison between the two. Good through review!

That's what I do too. I may shoot my carry gun at the range but I also have a magazine loaded for it to go back in the gun for the ride home.

SD9VE. It's a great gun for the money and mine has been absolutely flawless other than it's a bit slick in my hand.

I have one. About 800 rounds through it. Apex trigger kit and traction grips make a HUGE difference. I see no need to buy an M&P, Glock 19, or other similar striker fired guns to get basically what I already have and paid $299 for new.

Shield 9mm. Need a single stack gun for summer carry. My current gun is hard to cover with just a tshirt.

Wish I had a picture of it. It's a well used 10/22 that I learned to shoot with. It has since been returned to my father for the time being so he can teach my sisters kids to shoot.

I did the "poor mans wave" on a couple spyderco's. Worked really well. If you can't afford or don't want to spend the money on a waved model, the poor mans version works pretty darn well.

It could very well be different lots of springs. Try the new springs and if they work then that's awesome. If not get one or two of the MecGars and try them. I love my MecGars.
