My Pardini GT9-1 with silver finish

I have a GT45. Excellent pistol, the trigger is amazing.

    High-end .22LR rifles

Yes, the 7-2 (there is also a 7-3 and 7-4) is nice. The 7-4 is an actual biathlon rifle with biathlon stock that holds your magazines, adjustable cheek riser, etc. There was a group in Canada that was importing them for their athletes. All of the 7-X rifles have a deeply recessed target crown...

    High-end .22LR rifles

I've only got one photo of the 7-2, although it's a ton of fun to shoot. You can cycle almost as fast as a 10/22 once you get the hang of the bolt. It's pretty slick. To scope it, I got an cantilevered AR scope mount and put it on backwards to get the right eye relief.

    High-end .22LR rifles

I was always told that the single-shot actions were the best for accuracy because they are stronger/stiffer than a repeater with its magazine well. Is this modification for the 54 or 64 series rifles? Very interesting.. I suppose if one really wanted an Anschutz repeater, they do have a...

    High-end .22LR rifles

Our 82G on the range. Trigger job by Nemo on RFC, about 6oz break. Harrell tuner. New striker spring, lots of work on finding the right action torque (Kimber 82's are very sensitive to action torque I have found). Problem was, my wife was outshooting the rifle, so we got her the Myers action.

    High-end .22LR rifles

Yes RWS R-50 and UM22 are basically the same ammo. RWS makes the ammo under contract for Federal.

    High-end .22LR rifles

farmerboy78 is right. UM22 is really good, *however* it has not been working for me lately. It used to be my go-to ammo in 2012 and 13. Now I shoot Eley Black at speeds that my rifle likes. You can't buy UM22 by speed of the lot, so that's a big drawback.

    AR Match Barrels

My target AR is a RRA upper and yes, it is pretty accurate. I have it in .223 Wylde and it shoots the 77gr Federal GM really well, under 0.5MOA at 100 yards for 5-shot groups off a bipod.

    AR Match Barrels

Another vote for White Oak Precision. They are building winning barrels.

    High-end .22LR rifles

Funny to hear people talk about 1/4" groups like that's good enough for the USBR-50 target. The 10-ring is only 0.1" hence the reason for the 36x or 40x-45x scopes. And yes, in that picture is 5 shots.

    High-end .22LR rifles

Serious 22lr rifles. Background is a 40X with the action trued, benchrest stock, Harrell tuner and weight, Jewell 2oz trigger, Benchmark barrel, Weaver T36. (I came in 2nd place in TX in 2012 in small bore benchrest with this rifle.) Foreground: Myers action with Myers barrel, Harrell tuner...

    Sub-MOA shooters

I have several benchrest rifles that HAVE to shoot sub-MOA to even be competitive. These are 22lr rifles at 50 yards. I have also done sub-MOA shooting with factory rifles and an AR I built at 100 yards, but never consistently. I do not hand-load/reload. But I do buy high quality ammo and...

Why am I getting vertical strings in my grouping?

think about it, the common factor was that you loaded the ammo. Also common, the powder, and the bullet type. Usually from a rest, vertical stringing is caused by subtle variations in velocity. This means that either your powder metering is not accurate enough, or your powder charge is not...

Is a .22 Pistol really any good for practice.

A lot of people don't get this. First, you are absolutely correct, bullseye is so demanding on your fundamentals that any mistake will *devastate* your scores. I used to have a trigger jerk on the 45. Two-handed at under 20 yards, it wasn't noticeable at all, I was pretty much dead on...

Is a .22 Pistol really any good for practice.

Fundamentals are fundamentals. Getting a quality 22lr pistol is something that will last throughout your shooting career. Practicing with 22lr is an excellent practice, especially if you are more accurate with the 22 (it shows you need work on the bigger gun).

Best 9mm and training .22 combo?

My suggestions follows another poster: 1911 in 9mm + Marvel conversion kit.

    The Best 9mm pistol....

Sig 210 or Pardini GT9. My qualification was accuracy first and foremost.

Trying to decide on a fixed barrel .22.

Buckmark has best stock trigger. The MKIII or IV can be made very good with a VQ kit, better than then stock Buckmark. Both should be reliable with SV quality ammo like CCI. I think the MKs are a little more tolerant of bad ammo, but even they struggle with crap like Golden Bullets. If you...

22 rim fire or 6.5 Creedmoor?

If you want to learn to shoot accurately, 22lr small bore competition is a great way to learn. I shoot small bore benchrest and small bore 3-position. Both are great for learning your rifle-craft. The other thing is that you don't need to spend the money to get into reloading (although...

OK, help AR15 noob / potential buyer :)

I would agree that there really isn't much downside to 1/7 or 1/8. I have a 1/8 that will shoot the 55gr stuff around 1-1.5MOA at 100 yards and the heavier stuff like 77gr at under 0.5MOA, both for 5-shot groups from the bench with a bipod.
