I have a late 80's Undercover. Aesthetically it's nothing to write home about. Functionally it's been 100%. The action is reasonably smooth and the trigger is decent. I prefer it to a newer Taurus that I picked up a approx 3 years ago. I wouldn't mind a Bulldog at some point. I will admit...
FWIW, I have a Witness Elite Match in .45 acp. It's a nice shooting pistol that was a screaming bargain considering how accurate it is.
On a somewhat less wonderful note, EAA has developed a reputation for crappy customer service. Every now & then I hear rumbling that they are better, but...
While by no means conclusive, I'm unaware of any long slide 10 mms that make your price range.
This looks pretty awesome though: http://www.stiguns.com/the-sti-perfect-10/
Nighthawk supposedly makes one too. I suspect the STI will seem a bargain in comparison.
5" models will be a much...
Taxes should only be to generate needed govt revenue.
Creating a new tax as behavior control is inherently unfair. I disagree w/ beer & liquor taxes as well as any other tax that is above and beyond the norm for any other "good" product.
I bet it's not a hardship when it's time to cash dem...
Interesting. Like Somalia you say?
There is a UK phenomenon that I'm curious about. Is it mandatory for young british hooligans to steal and burn a car at any particular interval? No, they can't just steal it and strip it. No, they have to burn it too.
How'd all those riots work out in...
Nothing legitimate about it. Does she have a fear of other potentially lethal objects? Cars, knives, beer bottles, etc.
It's a symptom of a much larger problem.
Heat/fire. Yes.
Gross/negligent mishandling. Perhaps.
Intentional stupidity involving repeated impacts around the primer? Probably. Karma/fate/Murphy enjoys this type of scenario.
Direct hit with a lightning strike? Can't rule it out entirely ;)
Sitting in a box being left alone? No.
I have occasionally heard stories that EAA was beginning to turn that portion of their business around in a positive way. Good to hear. I hope it continues.
Welcome aboard. It's nice that you are willing to give us a direct line into the inner workings of the show.
As I understand it, you folks are all bound by a nondisclosure agreement until the ending is resolved (to the general public), but any insights will be welcome.
.38 Special bullet diameter: .357
.38 S&W bullet diameter: .361
If by some twist of fate they do fit, don't fire it. Nothing good can come of it. It PROBABLY won't damage anything. Which then leaves the possibility of sticking a bullet in the barrel.
I've been known to fire my revolvers DA on occasion. I have a Python & a 627 PC. So I have a pretty good idea what a good DA trigger feels like. I wouldn't buy a DAO revolver either.
I simply don't understand the reason to not offer the SA option. Oddly enough, other Sig offerings give the...
"Great DAO trigger."
"Super ultra wonderful DAO trigger!"
Golly folks, think how great a SA pull would be if they offered one.
While I can see some agencies might want DAO as an option, I fail to see the wisdom of not offering a DA/SA option in a full sized service type pistol. If I want DAO...
I used the Lee safety scale the first day I reloaded. It's back in it's box on a shelf somewhere. calling it a PITA isn't really enough. After that first use I immediately drove to Sportsman's warehouse and bought a Redding balance beam scale.
For my needs, I haven't felt the need for a...
Find out!
Secure your guns until you're sure. Heck, even if they aren't restricted, do you trust this person? It sure doesn't sound like it.
If you wish to have a gun handy, carry one until you sort this out.
Tell your wife to find better friends.
Last month I went for my 1st annual checkup several years:rolleyes: I asked the doc (civilian doc working at a military clinic) about ordering tests for lead levels. He asked why, so I explained that I was a shooter & reloader and that I worked with cast bullets a lot. He replied that he...
