We expecting to close on a new home by the end of the month. It has a partial basement which has high humidity and moisture and a garage. The humidity in the basement will have to be dealt with using a dehumidifier and some other work that we need to do. Give those two choices, where would you...
I would suggest NOT getting the #1 shellplate and get the #45 instead direct from Hornady. I find the #1 loose for 45ACP. At the same time, I would recommend getting the pistol metering insert and rotor combination, as well as, one additional standard pistol metering insert (also only available...
I am resurrecting this thread because I'm having a little difficulty getting one set-up (actually bought four!). I read the instructions and it does not seem to be operating correctly. I had it working for a 20-40 rounds but then it started getting finicky. Can anyone provide any advice? I was...
It was unissued so it sounds like headspace should not be an issue. I will check the firing pin to ensure it moves freely. I imagine it will since I cleand and lubed everything but I will make sure since I can't be certain. Thanks for the advice!

Thanks,
AJ
I find it's harder to get the lighter bullets like 9mm to come out rather than 45ACP for instance. I agree with the previous poster that said not to let it bounce back. Fewer harder whacks with follow-through is all you need.
I am just starting to set-up for .38 special. I am adjusting the dies and thought I had everything worked out. The problem is the bullet has slight twist movement. I don't want to roll crimp any more as it looks like the right amount of crimp. Should I maybe not seat the bullet as deeply so I...
Hornady makes a 45ACP specific shellplate. The part # is 392645. I find that there is quite a bit of slop with the #1 shellplate and plan to order the 45ACP version early next week. I've had some brass hit the leading edge of the Hornady sizing die. I have had a few missing primers with 45ACP. I...
