My 8.5 year old son has a 10/22 and he is pretty good with it. He is not a big kid for his age.
I want to take my son prairie doggin this summer and think he needs a little more juice to reach out and tag the little critters. So I am not sure what I should buy. I have a few thoughts. The...
A buddy of mine contacted me about selling all of his guns to pay some bills and I have no idea on the values. Guesses would be appreciated.
Winchester model 70 Featherweight from the late 60's with Weaver scope
Winchester model 60 22lr, no serial number from pre WWI

Can someone give me an educated answer on why storing gunpowder in a hot environment is bad? Obviously humidity can be bad, but why heat.
I guess the simply example of this is the military. Their trucks sit out in temperatures that are all over the map. In Iraq the ammo sits in the sun...
In the past I have always had a ton of room for my reloading gear. It has been in its own room in my house. For that last five years it hasnt even been setup at all. It has all been in rubermaids sitting on shelves in the garage. I dont have the room to do the setups like I have had before...
I am debating how to start my son shooting. He is about to turn five in a few months. I have a big yard but live in a city that prohibits "air rifles." I can easily set it up where I shoot from inside to outside and no one would hear an air rifle. I was also debating a spring airsoft rifle...
I dont have room in my house to reload now. I dont want it in my garage because I weld in there and do other metal working. I am thinking of building a shed to reload in. I have a lot of reloading crap to say the least. There are some shots of prior setups below. Anyone done this? How big...
This isnt a situtation with me but rather my brother.
He just bought an expensive home that he planned on living for the next 10-15 years in. It wasnt completely finished when he bought it. He has probably 200K worth of stuff he is going to do to it which includes pool, landscaping, and a...
A few years ago I ran across a card that some lawyer made up to give to businesses that did not allow concealed weapons. It was basically a contract where you would try to get the business owner or manager to guaranty your safety while on the premises if the police or owner does not protect...
Who here has worked on a political campaign in a significant position (more than just cold calling or handing out stickers)? I am curious what you got out of it and if you would do it again. I am mainly curious how many people here really get involved in politics.
What do you think? Is the next one going to be another Sandra Day who votes to the left? Isn't this a chance to get the 2nd amendment finally incorporated to the states and recognized?
My pick is that he nominates a woman or minority woman who is like Sandra Day.
There are few good reasons in my mind to ever hold a gun store liable for the acts of a criminal. What is going on in New Orleans however is possibly such time. At least the argument is much better than the normal BS for the suits going on now.
1. Everyone knew that looting would occur...
As you become(or became) a more experienced reloader...do you still experiment as much? Do you load hotter or lighter also?
I definately expirement less than before and load more in the middle range. I dont really come close to maxing out anything now.
I shot this a while back with a borrowed gun but I am looking for more info. Does anyone have any good forums for this sport. I am really curious about using a 10/22 in this. I know that Anschutz usually own the one class and cz/kimber/sako are also good. I want to buy a 10/22 anyway and...
I saw an add yesterday saying the John Stossel(SP?) will be attacking certain myths that exist in our society. One of them was that gun control saves lives. I barely caught the add but it almost sounded positive. Just thought some might want to watch it.
Edit
I meant 20/20 not dateline

Just curious who people think is the biggest threat to gun rights in the US. I am speaking of whoever is the most powerful with the message against gun rights or who is harming us quietly.
