US Navy Deletes Photo Of Ship Commander Shooting Rifle With Backwards Scope

Reminds me of the mayor in Super Troopers: “Can I get in on this? Get me a gun. “

    These cartridges would not fire.

As far as I know, the tension screw on flat spring guns is NOT an adjustment. It should be turned all the way in. If a light pull is required a lighter spring should be installed.

    New .40 S&W loader. (I think I'm prepared)

Target is 10 shots at 25 yards off sand bags. Mixed range brass. Loaded on single stage press. I didn’t record OAL but i could if you were interested. Fired with a fairly new to me FNS 40C. I was pleasantly surprised. 100% function. Primers looked fine.

    9mm Case Head Separation

When brass is fired, resized, expanded, flared, the material has to flow somewhere. The more it is worked the more flow takes place. So if you are using an undersized sizing die, it follows that the material is flowing more. One of the side effects may be thinner case walls, which would...

Is SIG not making .40 cal pistols anymore?

The ones we got were used. But not very much.

Is SIG not making .40 cal pistols anymore?

My son and I both just got the an FNS-40C for christmas. Same price at the local pawn shop. We just took them to the range Tuesday and are very happy with them.

    9mm Case Head Separation

I would say from repeated re-sizing the brass may be flowing down towards the base.

    Too many Guns?

I always try to evaluate a new gun puchase on whether it fills a need. Of course "need" is subjective.

Luckily it doesn't look like anything was seriously damaged.

What do have waiting for you in the reloading room?

I have a mess waiting for me. I had a pocket full of brass that I picked up at the range the otherday, so I went to drop it off in my reloading room. When I got there I found both my dillon presses were dumped over on the floor. Seems my storage system had a structural flaw. I have a bookshelf...

    New Uberti 1860

I hope you post pics when its done. I've forgotten a lot of what I used to know about cap and ball pistols, so please bear with me. Will the barrel diameter be ok for 45 ACP?

    Sig P320 Issue

This doesn't inspire confidence in the weapon. I bought a P320 when they first came out, and one of the main reasons was because I thought it had an excellent trigger pull for a striker fired gun. I sent it in to to SIG when the "upgrade" was offered. When I got it back the trigger pull was...

Is 5 or 6 really enough in today's world.

I have had a couple of occasions where people cruise down the street breaking into cars, one guy driving the other one or two getting in the cars. Also individuals one at a time. One reason I carry is so I am armed when I arrive home.

Is 5 or 6 really enough in today's world.

I walk around the area where I live. Once I walked down a street that passes under an expressway, a little desolate. It occurred to me that if something happened there I was a long way from help.

Is 5 or 6 really enough in today's world.

So you’re saying you don’t cc or believe it’s necessary? My point about walking distance is the premise that you only need a hand gun to get back to your long gun, or remove yourself from a dangerous situation.

Is 5 or 6 really enough in today's world.

How about walking a mile or two from home (or car) in an urban environment.?

Is 5 or 6 really enough in today's world.

A few years ago I got my CCW, and about the same time I started shooting some IDPA and steel plate matches (along with bullseye. ) That’s when I figured 6 shots wasn’t enough for me. Just the stress of competition made me rush and miss shots. Before that I always considered myself a pretty...
