It's hard to beat a .243 for a whitetail rifle for shooters of any stature. Makes a dandy varmint rifle also. The older I get the less I seem to need the added recoil.

Had a 452fs in .22 mag. Shot everything pretty well and consistent. It really loved the lighter 30 grain loads. Try some of the lighter weight bullets

AK stock triggers are better than all stock and most custom AR triggers. It's not even close. I'd probably go AR for a choice now with the Russian ammo ban.
