Sig Sauer P220 10mm: Your impressions

OP: "I need some fluffing for a 10mm. Tell me how sexy the SIG is. Someone please put me over the edge so I can have an orgasmic purchase experience. NO don't mention Glocks, I'll lose my gun wood!" I know - I've been there.

What Caliber Do You Carry Most?

Lately I'm split pretty evenly between 357 SIG (tiny G33 for long drives to the office) and .45 ACP (G30 which gets more comfortable as I lose weight). I may go to 9mm more often, though, because I'm really getting to love my CZs. And, it's always good to have options (for guns and ammo), 357...

What's good (and bad) about 357 Sig?

I like 357 SIG, too. Here's my reasoning: 9mm is generally considered 'enough' for self defense, but more power is generally better, if you can handle it. My G33 is the exact same size as my G26, holds 1 less round, but each round carries significantly more muzzle energy - and (for me) shoots...

Glock Grip Angle and Wrist Pain

I don't know what ulnar deviation is, but I found when dry-firing my new CZ97 that it seems to come easily to target. Now, I love Glocks (excepting my 42). I have 7. I shoot them well. My first center fire pistol was a G19. But when I tried to aim my Glock 21 and CZ97 one after another, I found...

does the glock 42 still have issues?

Mine will not cycle soft loads. Particularly American Eagle FMJ. Two failures per magazine. (that's one out of three rounds, sports fans). It's been to Smyrna twice and they refuse to acknowledge a problem. This is my .... eleventh (?) Glock, so I know how to shoot Glocks and I know how they...

My thoughts on the Armys pick of the SIG 320

If they do 'em like they did the M1s, they'll go over them, replace parts as necessary, like they'll make 20 good guns out of parts from 25, then grade them for pricing. If it happens you'll know what you're getting.

    Ruger SP101 info requests

I replaced the grip on mine with a Pachmayr, and if I'm shooting .357's I still need to grip the piss out of it so it doesn't bash my middle finger with the back of the trigger guard.

    Wheeler sight pusher

Thanks for the input. I got a Glock-specific pusher years ago and have used it on, well, all my Glocks. As I collect more pistols, most of which come with non-glowy sights, If I want to put them into an actual defense role, as opposed to collector role, then I'd like them to have night sights...

Fact or Fiction, The best and worst

Act of Valor should be mentioned for it's realism. At least *I* think it's realistic - I'm no authority, but it was made by a bunch of Seals as actors and technical advisors, supposedly with live ammo ...

    Wheeler sight pusher

Just a quick question - Is it good? Is it worth the size-XL money? (I do buy a lot of semi-auto pistols of varying makes and models) The tool in question: https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B01B3NU0U2/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pC_nS_ttl?_encoding=UTF8&colid=26X3RJXNUUHIZ&coliid=I11ZN8SOD03ZGQ

    Most accurate autoloader?

Ok, bc1023, you're just showing off. And yes, I'm jealous.

    Most accurate autoloader?

I'm a Glock shooter, so I do pretty well with them, and I can't say I've shot any large-money guns like a P210 or Colt Gold Match or anything like that, so my experience is not the best. I do have a P220 that I love and shoot it very well, but the best, most effortlessly accurate autoloader for...

    Shoot, shoot, and shoot! 22LR

How about a revolver? I have a Ruger Single-Ten that's classy and accurate. If you want double-action, you probably won't be able to wear out the LCR in 22lr, and I think you can get either the SP101 or GP100 in 22lr as well. Smith & Wesson has a few classic 22lr revolvers as well.

the FN Five Seven is it a good choice

Re: 5.7 stopping power: I hate to use this example, but the Five-Seven was used at the shooting at Ft Hood some years ago - 13 dead, so it's not an ineffective cartridge.

    Shoot, shoot, and Shoot! 9mm

9mm shooters: CZ-75 - a joy and you'll likely never wear it out. Metal frame (mine is a BD model with a steel frame - very nice) CZ P-09/07 - cheaper, poly-framed and still pretty nice SIG P22x - Alloy framed, won't wear it out, super nice. I recommend the SAS versions with the short reset...

Unexpectedly Got a CZ P09, What Do You Think of Them?

I've only had mine for a couple weeks, one range trip, but it worked perfectly for 150 rds of various cheep 9mm ammo. Accurate when I took the time to make it so. The DA pull is .... not great, but I think it may be smoothing out already. As to the grip, this is where it get's weird for me - the...

    CZ Insider question

And my understanding of the Omega trigger may not be complete - I've gathered that it's a simplified trigger that's better than the decock trigger, and convertible - I've seen it on at least one of the metal-framed guns, but as Walt says, I don't know if it's convertible. I just like the...

    Took delivery today!

I've heard of them having accuracy issues because the bore is a few thousandths over - please report back about accuracy - I may have to get one myself.

    CZ Insider question

I see how the Omega trigger option has migrated from the poly-framed P-07 and -09 to some of the alloy framed CZ-75's - can anybody guess if it might make it to the CZ-97?

    S&w 5906

I'd like to have one as a collector. I've never heard anything bad about them. Besides, the 5906 was Sarah Walker's carry piece. Colonel Casey usually had a P229 Equinox, and Chuck of course had a tranq pistol.
