    Cleaning Patches

I used old t-shirts at first, then i just bought some precut patches. You'll probably save a little money cutting your own, or you can just buy a large bag and be done with it. I only had a pair of scissors to cut the shirts with, and it took quite a while to cut any decent amount, which is why...

    Interesting take on gun sales

Last I heard, this situation sounds like embezzlement. If these employees are cooking the books and pocketing the difference, they are DEFINITELY stealing from the company. Now, if it was a one or two time thing, that for some reason the customers were 'tipping' the sales person for excellent...

Taste of Dallas Not Allowing CHL

I had the misfortune of being in Chicago for a period of time. There was a 'taste of Chicago' even there. If the Dallas event is anything like the one in Chicago, you're not missing anything. There didn't seem to be any unique food, just the normal street-vendor type food: hot dogs...

Some people just don't get it. Long Post

In the States, our rights come from God, not the Constitution. The Constitution is only supposed to protect our rights. I don't know much about Canada, but I imagine our views of rights and where they come from are probably radically different.

    SGammo.com

Hey guys, just wanted to give you an update on my order. Ordered on Saturday, arrived yesterday afternoon. This was with their standard shipping quoted on each page. 1 Ordered a 420 can of LC M855 on strippers. Everything looks to be in order, but the brass is kind of tarnished a bit. Not...

No Guns allowed at Buffalo Wild Wings

That's a pretty neat idea. Or maybe try to get them into some local press, via local gun-rights organizations. Have some old school boycotts or something. The "Say no to BWW and Support Gun-Rights BBQ" ;-)

What do you tell people that ask the same tired question?

I am utterly and totally against PC responses for the sake of not offending the modern person's own private lubby-dubby view of the world. As I said in my most recent post prior to this one, most people only say these things because they fear disapproval by others. @ Babie Louie, I think...

Minimum Advertised Price (MAP) policies on gun stuff

I didn't say they set the price, I said price point. When I said 'what's fair' between manufacturers and retailers, I was not talking about setting the specific price, merely the contract between them that dictates what each party will agree to as terms for doing business.

Been thinking a lot about firearm defense.

@Geckgo You mentioned that showing the gun may diffuse the situation, and the caliber does not matter so much. This can sometimes be true, but you need to keep something in mind. If you pull a gun on someone, who is similarly armed, things might escalate very quickly. You need to be able to...

Legal and Prudent defense against Flash Mobs

I think the simplest solution is not to live in Philly. Of course, this isn't an option for most people, because they are locked into an underwater mortgage for a house they couldn't give away. Might as well be chained to the damned thing.

Maine: Gov LePage signs Right-to-Carry bills

While this may be some kind of victory for gun-rights, it's a loss for property rights. If you had a right to control your property (including guns) as you deemed fit, gun-rights would just be like any other kind of right. Your property, your business, simple as that. So, in a small way...

No Guns allowed at Buffalo Wild Wings

It's probably corporate policy that the guy can do nothing about. Aside from it not being 'illegal' in your state to not have a gun on someone else property despite their sign to the opposite effect, you could be asked to leave for such a reason (or any reason, really), and your failure to do so...

Minimum Advertised Price (MAP) policies on gun stuff

Well, I think it's up to the manufacturer and the retailers to decide what's fair. Manufacturers have to keep up a brand image, and part of that image is usually price-point. But if you think that it's bad you can't see the 'lowest price' for the unit up front, it's worse in some industries...

When you use a lie to advance a cause...

The point of news stories like this is to fool the people that really have no clue about the subject. Once the story is presented on the news, and people hear about it, it has become fact, plain and simple. The news never comes on and says "Hey, you know that story we told you about how easy it...

Collusion among gun dealers at gun shows perhaps?

I think buying a used gun is a lot like buying a used car... Best to avoid dealers if you aren't 100% certain of their reputation. I think a gun show is a bad place to buy newer style guns, or used guns from dealers. They are fine for buying surplus and ammo, and possibly selling a weapon...

Justice officials in "Panic Mode" over failed Gun Program

Yes...Have you heard of Waco and the OKC Bombings? Fox news is really good at one thing: Pretending to hate liberals. But, the reality is, they are in the same camp as the other news networks. Of course, Fox does have some occasional good discussions, I can't say they hold themselves to any...

What do you tell people that ask the same tired question?

To the first part, about 'where the outline' might be...this is precisely the point I was trying to make. Our rights are not outlined by the Constitution. Our rights are many and innumerable. When you say 'Second Amendment Rights' it is a mis-statement. Of course, you may actually believe in...

What do you tell people that ask the same tired question?

I don't think anyone was really taken aback by it as much as they like to portray. Everyone simply wanted to seem like reasonable people, and it was mostly posturing IMO. This is because they want to give a certain image to gun owners, which IMO, is not really necessary. Most people, gun...

Justice officials in "Panic Mode" over failed Gun Program

Not saying your wrong, but what makes you so sure? How is that information going to get out 'there'? Do you think the media has gun-rights at the heart of it's agenda...sure, only it's it to limit them. :-(

    Witnessing a Mob Beating

I agree with this. Perhaps maybe I am filled with too much cowardice to have such unwaivering conviction. But see the thread I started a few days ago where apparently I come off as a trigger happy nut job, and it will all even out ;-) No, but seriously, I personally couldn't hold it against...
