Best BUG usage in movies and TV/ real world

In "8 Million Ways to Die," Jeff Bridges' character, Scudder empties his primary weapon, an HK P9S Combat (I think in 9mm), at Andy Garcia's character and his boys and then pulls out a 4" barreled revolver he used as his secondary weapon....not sure of the revolver, but if I recollect, it was a...

Kimber ultra carry got a scratched feed ramp

My Kimber Combat Carry (a Series I gun that is the predecessor to the Compact CDP) was a used gun purchase with who knows how many rounds through it. It's feed ramp had plenty of dings and very small gouges. No problems feeding (so far) with Corbon 165 grain +P JHP's (very sharp edged rounds)...

    [ScotteVest] Clothing for concealed carry

I purchased several SCOTT eVests (four Version 2.0S jackets in blue, stone, olive, and black and an blue Version 1 vest) about three or four years ago. I actually use the PAN feature with my MP3 and MiniDisc players, a small 35mm camera, spare film, a PDA, and assorted other toys, all the while...

    Taurus 905 - 9mm Revolver

I just purchased a 905 blued hammerless. No sticky extraction issues, but then again I was firing standard velocity Winchester (white box) 115 grain FMJ. After 201 rounds of the stuff, I found that the cylinder occasionally binded, but after opening the cylinder and slapping the rear of...

    Kahrr ate It

7.....I own three (PM9, P9 Covert and P45); the P45 has some minor issues, but go "bang." The others have been reliable; the PM9 had to go through the 200-round break-in period before I could declare it reliable.

    Walther P99 - 2 Buy or Not 2 Buy?

As I write this response, my 2004 model P99QA Titanium lies just a few feet from in nestled inside a Comp Tac CTAC IWB holster.....buy it, you won't regret it. All three of my P99s (this one and a P99AS Military 9mm and P99AS Compact 9mm) have proven to be 100% reliable.

    Beretta 92 Quality

The 90-Two which is essentially a 92FS with a light rail and interchangeable grips. It will also have an interesting polymer rail cover. The Px4 will also be a "mainstay" product for Beretta. I think Beretta's biggest mistake was to eliminate every compact 9mm to .45 ACP gun and Vertec in...

    Beretta 92 Quality

My current duty weapon is a SIG P229 in .40 S&W. Prior to that, it was a SIG P228. At the time I was carrying the P228 my sole two personal handguns were a Browning HP Mark II and a Beretta 92F Compact. Had I been given a choice, I would have carried the Beretta....it fit my hand much better...

    What Was Your First Handgun?

My first handgun was a Browning High Power Mark II in 9mm. I purchased it in 1985 or 1986....I don't recall when, for just under $500. A month after purchasing it, I sent it to Trijicon for night sights (long dead now) and to Bill Laughridge at Cylinder and Slide for some work. It's fired...

SG and everyone else lists the ammo on their websites, but none of them currently have it in stock. My recently arrived WASR-2 from AIM sits idly by for ammo.

I met with the president of the San Diego NAACP a few weeks ago.

...I'm originally from Harlem (NYC)....I recall that at it's worst during the 70's and 80's, I never...ever....saw a gun shop on any street corner.

Honest opinions on SIG "CPO" pistols?

I purchased a CPO sig pro SP2340 in 357 SIG with night sights, two mags, a lock, two grips and all the accompanying paperwork. The finish on this gun was flawless when I opened the red box and inspected the gun. The night sights are nice and bright. The bore and entire interior of the gun was...

What's the best .45 ACP for $650 or less?

The Sig P220 or P245 or various 1911's by Springfield Armory, Kimber or others are outstanding guns, but I add that the Kahr P45 is a great .45 ACP....which will be joined by Kahr's upcoming TP45 and PM45 (which Justin Moon told me during SHOT Show may or may not be produced.....yeah...
