Well i guess I’m going to go buy a box of 175gr partitions then and see how the gun shoots.

So is there any downside to the 175gr vs the 160gr partition?

I’m hunting spot and stalk spring bear in Montana.

Also, I’m hunting black bears only.

Sorry, should have been specific. It’s a 7mm rem mag with a 26” barrel. The ABLRs worked great on prong horn with little meat damage. I understand it’s totally overkill, i just really like this rifle so it’s really the only one I hunt with to maintain consistentency.

9mm, the easy mount does look good, and would save me having someone weld something up. I can’t find anything on them, and they appear out of business. Any idea how to get one and what the price was?

Well he came down on the price, and it was in good shape so i bought it. It’s not a whitworth, but it has leaf sites for 100,200, & 300 and a Cross bolt. . Bore was clean and the action was smooth and looks fairly sturdy. I’m pretty excited. Thanks for the input guys.
