Is Lee the way to go for a beginner?

Or unless you factor in the cost of replacing them if you want really good equipment, and you want to keep reloading, while getting better at it. Just leave the option open of getting better equipment someday, and you may understand what I mean later. There is no way anyone will start with...

If you had a business in this sport...

let me start over.. OOps huge mistake in symantics, sorry. No wonder we got those responses. I inadvertantly appealed to your personal sense of honesty. I am NOT talking about how honest most of you can be, ok? Try looking at it THIS way, as if you were Mr Any Businessman....and now lets...

If you had a business in this sport...

If anyone had a business in this sport... Dont you think you or one of your employees would spend at least every day in as many forums as they could find, just dropping supporting statements, and disagreeing with anyone who might not like your product or service? Wouldn't it be like free...

finally found a load that works!

trick Ill guarantee you that you'll do better at 15 yards, which is still good for pistol range. And I suggest that you might like 231 a little better too. I know I sure do!! ;)

    Good reloading scales?

Davo I have a Dillon Eliminator beam balance that is about the same as the 505. FYI it is within .1 gr of what a Lee scale says. I am beginning to believe that temp & humidity can effect its balance setting. I have to cool a room and dehumidify in the process, from about 90 to 76 degrees...

    Old dusty 231

Fine Bushmaster, thanx fer askin... How You? Is that machinery working ok these days? I watched you have fun in that thread. :) I'm going to take some of the old stuff out tomorrow and see how it compares to the newer with 45/200 gr plated rounds. One of the things I liked about this...

    Old dusty 231

My dealer was down to the last old 231 he had left in a metal CAN. I took it home, and poured it, and its dustier than it should be. It does not smell bad. Would you use it, or take it back, or save it for your final reserve, in case you couldnt get any more when you wanted it later...

    Walther P99 QA

further saga... Apparently CDNN did make good on the mistake that happened and promptly sent out the replacement P99. I would recommend that anybody who buys from them make sure you use careful descriptions of the firearm, like barrel length, etc. I was told they had a compact and regular P99...

    Walther P99 QA

I ordered a P99 9mm D/S action from CDNN and somehow, weeks later, my FFL dealer told me he received a compact (a P99c). What a drag, because I wanted to do target shooting, its not for a CCW. So, CDNN sent a label to take it back, and I am waiting for a replacement, a 9mm Quick Action...

    9mm Ammo

reloading 9mm... I got into it because I dont have all the options you mainland guys do for different kinds of ammo. My supplier has lower cost ammo at high prices because of haz-mat fees. Try spending $18 for 50. But I am happy to enjoy reloading them as much as I do. My Beretta 92fs...

    Crimping Too Light?

Lighter crimp... I hear a lot of experts telling us that no crimp is more accurate. It follows from that, I suppose we can expect you are having more accuracy than before, right? But you didnt mention that. And I hope your not experiencing any bullet shifting like I have, from not enough...

    Whats your favorite powder measure

RCBS Uniflow.... The one I got from Midway is called a competition model or something like that, about $99. It came with the baffle and the fine micrometer for handguns. I got the stand and put it on a board about 1x4x11 so I could empty it easily. It did pretty good with Unique, which is...

    Reloading Glock brass okay?

I have wondered about this. I got some once-fired brass, and sure enough some of it has some pretty good bulges on one side, in the lower half. Well guess what, it still sizes perfectly. I am currently planning a test to mark the side where it was to see if the same area expands after other...

    Copper Plated Or FMJ Bullets???

Berry's I have found the 9mm/124 gr HP Berry's is pretty accurate due to its really long skirt. I really appreciate Cabelas low shipping costs where I live. If anyone else has a source for low priced plated with low shipping costs, I would sure like to hear about it. I almost liked the...

    Disposing of rejected rounds?

Ok, try this one. Throw them into the ocean or the lake? Naw, I still like the plaster idea. Just dont wash it into your pipes, thats all.

    Disposing of rejected rounds?

Try plaster I use plaster of Paris in plastic cups. I believe that makes them fairly safe at the dump. Thats the best idea I could muster up, but maybe there are some better ones to follow....
