I have a savage 24B DL that has the rear sight broken about halfway up. The only one I can find for it is at Numrich and it is a dovetail type mount. A gunsmith says it's a crimp on and by looking at it, it appears to be crimped on. Anybody have a clue as to where I might get a new one?

I'm reloading some 308 for a DPMS but i can't get the bullet anywhere near the lands due to the COAL being too long to go thru the mag. They are DPMS mags and both of them are the same. Anybody else have this problem or is it just the operator?
