Hello:
I have one of those new M37's from RSR that everyone is talking about. I have not purchased a new Smith revolver in a while. I noticed a very (and I mean very) small amount of play in the cylinder when the trigger is held back. The play is side to side and there is no play at all when...
Looking to buy a new in box model 37 with an older frame (not +p rated and probably from the mid 90's). Would it be ok to occasionally shoot +p .38 ammo in this gun (maybe 25 rounds a year)?
Well this issue really confuses me. I can see that some have called Smith inquiring if it would be ok to use +p ammo in the new M37's that have come out with non MIM parts, bobbed hammer and no internal lock. I actaully had a friend call S&W two hours ago and he was told that all of the M37's...
THe new M37's that are hitting the shelves with the bobbed hammer and no MIM parts or lock - just wondering from someone that has purchased one if they are stamped as being +p or not?
Hello:
I have a 642-2 that I originally bought for a backup gun to wear while on duty in a bullet proof vest holster. I am considering trading it for a new Smith & Wesson model 37 with a bobbed hammer. The 642 has the internal lock, and the M37 does not. That, aside from the finishes and hammer...
I am looking at a model 37 with a bobbed hammer. It will be used as a backup gun in a bullet proof vest holster or ankle holster. I have never owned a revolver with a bobbed hammer - any disadvantages to having a bobbed hammer? Will it affect the reliability of the gun? Thanks
Hello:
My 340PD needs an IWB. I had a Don Hume which I did not like because it pushed the gun up too high making it easy for it to fall over and out of the holster. Any suggestions? Thanks
Trying to find a new in box older one without the lock, but they are hard to find for the money I have to spend. So has anyone experienced any issues with that ugly looking lock that Smith puts in it's 642's (or other revolvers)? Thanks
OK - I know I posted a "642 or 442" thread earlier, but I want to be more specific and ask why a stainless steel barrel would be that much better than the one on the 442. As mentioned, I will be carrying 99% of the time in a bullet proof vest holster. I live in Connecticut so it can get hot...
I can get them both for the same price. I am going to wear it in a bullet proof vest holster as a backup gun. Which one would you reccommend and why? Thanks
Anyone have any info on these. How well are they constructed? How about capacity - how many guns could the case hold? I have a G19, G27 and S&W 340PD that I want to be able to store in the case. Any feedback on V-Line or another safe is much appreciated. Thanks.
Anyone know if this what S&W calls their clearcoat finish that is known for pealing off, or is this the new updated finish that they are applying to all the 637's and 642's that get sent back to them?
When I decided to get a 642 I called my dealer and he gave me a very good price on a new in box 642 ($30 over wholesale). So I asked him what the price was on a NIB 442 and he told me the same price. So I went to see him today to order the 442 and he told me that he had made a mistake and that...
I need to buy a backup gun that I can carry on duty. I am not too big into carrying on my ankle and have decided to use a vest holster that will be attached to the straps on my bullet proof vest. I like the S&W 642 and PM9. ANy suggestions on these or another gun? Thanks
I need to install a Trijicon front night sight onto my G19. I do not have any Loctite around. Glock Inc. told me that fingernail polish would be just as good as Locktite. Anyone have any experience using fingernail polish to secure a front sight or anyone have any comments? THanks
Hello:
I have a Sentry V560 steel security safe. I have read where some safes will cause guns to rust. Anyone know if I should have any issues with this safe? Thanks
Looking for something to lock up a gun or two in a bedroom dresser drawer. This will be used for storage when I am home, and mostly to keep the kids away. The safe will be stored in a top dresser drawer which is too high for the kids to reach, but I just want to be extra safe. How does the...
Thinking about getting one for a Glock 19 and G27 in the Express line. Can anyone tell the differences between the 5JR and 5JR President - concealability, ect? Thanks
Hello:
I bought a brand new P228 a few months ago. I have only fired about 100 rounds through it. I carry a G22 on duty, and I am having some doubts about carrying a DA/SA off duty. Also, with two kids and one on the way, lots of overtime and a new house I do not find that I have lots of time...
