Refurbished Glock? Or just used Police gun?

I wouldn’t consider it a referb unless it was clearly advertised as such, cant speak for Glock but Sig makes it clear by using marking tape on the grip and a red box for referbs vs. the normal blue box for new. There should be no question as to whether it’s refurbished or not when you buy it.

    Open Carry

I would never want to advertise that I carry and make myself stand out in a crowd, In fact I've never liked doing anything that drew attention to myself in a crowd, not to mention having my gun open to grabs, to me open carry would be fine if it was the norm in my area and the only legal way to...

IWB carry is getting to be a pain in the ....

I have never found IWB carry to be comfortable and I've tried some of the best IWB holsters out there, I now only carry OWB with a good belt and quality high-riding holster, I usually wear a casual button-up shirt left un-buttoned over a tucked t-shirt and occasionally just a loose fitting...

What's the big deal with .357 Sig?

I’m a "Nay Sayer" (only concerning myself) of 357sig and own one, I know its a great round for many but for whatever the reason I shoot tighter groups with my .40 out of the same gun (Sig 229). I know that for many others its the exact opposite but for me I just happen to shoot better with .40...

    sig p228

Its all a matter of preference, a lot of people like the 228 in 9mm because of the stamped slides vs. the machined stainless slide due to the fact that its slightly less top heavy, many consider it to be better balanced then say the 229 in 9mm (the one the 228 is usually compared against, only...

    Sig p229 made of duraluminium?

Usually not, Sigs have an outstanding reputation for durability and achieving a very high round count during it’s service, its not uncommon to talk with Sig owners who have between 50 and 100 thousand rounds through theirs with nothing more then the occasional standard spring replacements.

    Cool video from youtube

I ran accross this video on Youtube showing things in slow motion, in the video (along with other things) they show some pretty cool slow motion shooting, thought some of you might enjoy watching. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ahU6iUs4E0s

    SIG Help Please

Surprise! I'm going to agree with everyone else about the Sig, it took me a many years and countless dollars spent on firearms before finally finding what for me was the perfect handgun (in my case the 229), it cost a little to buy but nothing compaired to all the handguns I went through getting...

    Sig 229, no safety?

I have a 229ST which was a limited run and only available in .40, however with the .40 model you can convert to 357sig or 9mm by swaping out the barrels.

    Sig 229, no safety?

I have a Sig 229, its my favorite and also the one I carry daily, the heavy 1st trigger pull makes it as safe as any revolver, it requires a good deal of intent to get the first shot off (even more so then some revolvers), the heavy first trigger pull and a quality holster offer as much safty as...

    Whats your dream carry gun?

after years of owning many handguns and spending more money on them then I care to mention Im lucky to already have mine, a 229ST, there are still some others out there that I would love to get my hands on but at the end of the day I know of none that could replace my 229ST.

    Sig p229?

My friend and I go shooting together often, he has 226 and me a 229, we both take turns shooting each others guns and at a distance from 15 to 20 yrds I dont see a difference in accuracy, my 229 does however feel better in my hand and is my daily carry.
