What color Locktite did you use? Red Locktite is a big NO-NO, but blue can be used! I don't like either, I use my wifes finger nail polish. If you used red take the screws out and clean it off, if you used blue just retighten and it should be OK!

This, I have a 336 with a Leupold one piece base and it uses only 3 screws and it's rock solid so don't sweat it!

The best AK's that came into this country are the Chinese type 56 Norinco & the Polytech Ledgend. The converted Legion 21 Siaga by Arsenal was a good rifle also. Slightly used Sako or new Tika! Older Rem. Sendero is OK also!

I have 6 in 5.56 and a R.E.P.R 308! Finest piston type AR's in my opinion. Danny Defense makes a decent one also and there are others that are OK!

Sako's are by far the best out of the box production rifles made today. They are generaly out of Bubba's price range, or at least what he thinks he should spend, so he brags on his winchester or Remington or Ruger ETC... because he's never shot a Sako or had any experiance with them. I have 12...

Sako rifles are the best out of the box production guns made, better even than alot of so called custom rifles. I've never had a sako that did'nt shoot the bullit I wanted to shoot sub MOA and yes I have ten Sako's!

Get a Chinese Norinco 56 or a Polytech Legend. You will pay but these are the best AK's brought into this country. Next best would be the Arsenal SGL Legion 21 which are not as pricey as the Chicom but still not cheap. WASR's were always s*** and still are, sorry Bubba!

Nature Boy is right! If most longrange wantabes paced off 1000yds they would realize just how difficult a shot it is. Now to make that shot consistantly one needs very good rifle, optic, ammo & range finder. I killed adeer at 1185yds with a Sako TRG 338 Lapua, which had an Elite Iron suppressor...

Most definitly abolt action if you are going to shoot 500+ yds. To reduce recoil you will want a brake or even better a suppressor. Beautiful Henry!! I was lucky enough to have ,at one time, owned Henry rifle #309. It was humbling to have such a historic firearm, only aprox. 14000 made, in my possession. But I would have rather had an original win. 1866.
