    Making an SBR at 18

A gas boosting muzzle device. Examples would be the Noveske pig, the Bulgarian 4-piece, and the muzzle devices seen on Krinks and 102, 104, and 105 pattern AK rifles. I'm not sure how they work, but I know that their design is to increase the amount of gas used to cycle the weapon on short...

    Making an SBR at 18

The rifle in mind would be outfitted with a booster to keep it from short stroking. Thanks for the replies.

    Making an SBR at 18

Alright, so I'm good to engrave a lower I already own, submit the Form 1, then buy the short barreled upper once I get approved. Does this also mean I can chop the barrel on a rifle as long as I do it myself (and engrave+form 1 first, of course)?

    Making an SBR at 18

I understand that it is legal for an 18 year old to "make" an SBR but not purchase one. What does this mean, exactly? Do I have to build the gun from the ground up, or does that just mean cutting the barrel down without help from a gunsmith? When you're talking about AR15's, could you get a...

    Arsenal SLR106CR failing to eject

Oh wow, so the SLR's actually do have curvy ejectors? That just seems so bizarre. BSW, I guess I should've been more precise with my description of the cut in the bolt. It's the correct dimensions. I guess in a couple weeks I'll try it with the WPA I just bought, and see if the bolt has any...

    Arsenal SLR106CR failing to eject

The bolt actually has ample clearance and the cutout in the bolt for the ejector rail is quite large.. But I'd say the fact the gun is having problems with -ejection- and the -ejector- looks unordinary is a pretty good indication of what my problem is. I don't know if it was never heat treated...

    Arsenal SLR106CR failing to eject

Okay, I think I may have found the problem... My ejector has a nice little bend to it, and in comparison my Saiga and every ejector picture I could find on the Internet, it's not supposed to. Mystery solved? Or do SLR's have special snowflake ejectors...

    Arsenal SLR106CR failing to eject

Thanks for the helpful information everyone. I'll try some hotter ammo and check out the internals and see if I can diagnose the problem.

    Arsenal SLR106CR failing to eject

No buffer, the barrel is still unchopped at 16 inches with no muzzle device, and the ammo was brass cased American Eagle "AR 223". I will inspect my extractor and ejector at the next available opportunity. Could filing the face of the hammer that contacts the bolt carrier help at all? I hear...

    Arsenal SLR106CR failing to eject

I knew that going in, but surely there's a way to fix it. I hope.

    Arsenal SLR106CR failing to eject

Most AK's are overgassed from the start, which is why I don't think its short stroking. I have three promags and the factory magazine. I won't be able to test them for a while.

    Arsenal SLR106CR failing to eject

I bought a secondhand SLR106CR and shot it this weekend and I experienced two jams. Because I was low on 5.56 I only ran 60 rounds through it, but two jams out of 60 is two too many. Pictures of the jams before they were cleared. Both of the jams occurred with Bulgarian circle 10 20 round...

    Black Label Tactical?

Has anybody ordered from blacklabeltactical.com? Everything I search on google results in some knife series made by browning. They have the best price on a 106cr I can find, but I've never even heard of their website before.

Help Me Demolish My Anti-Gun Aunt's Gun Control Scheme...

You also said she mentioned people who buy semi automatic rifles have a "compensation" complex. Anyone who makes that assertion is clearly incapable of reaching rational conclusions and using the most basic fundamentals of logic. I would not waste my time trying to debate with someone with the...

Saiga Barrel Components (5.45 vs .223)

Due to an unusual and obnoxious turn of events I have ended up with a spare set of front end conversion parts for a 5.45 Saiga. This includes the gas block, threaded Bulgarian front sight block, and throw lever front handguard retainer. For reference, all the components are identical to the ones...

    "I don't need a gun."

This thread is actually quite low road at its core.. If someone doesn't want to own a gun, they don't have to. It's your right to freedom of speech just like its your right to remain silent. I find the rare instance(s?) where a county enforces mandatory gun ownership fairly detestable. It's this...

    Conspiricy explanation - govt ammo

Can I just say how counterproductive it is to dismiss anyone with an opinion that's even slightly outlandish as a tin foil hat wearing lunatic? People who mock like that are the reason why conspiracy theorists are no longer respected and the phrase itself lends an extremely negative connotation...

Any body have experience with "self healing" targets?

I have a DOA self healing ball target, and while I'll say for the most part it works as advertised, it's imperative that you wear eye protection. This is especially true if you're shooting .22lr. After a few shots of .22 I was quite pleased with the target. I was worried such a small bullet...

Best comments on Uncle Joe's tactical advice

Colion Noir is one of my favorite gun youtubers. Like others have said, he's a lot more "hip and relatable" than folks like bigdaddyhoffman and Hickok45, even though their channels are great too. He's also incredibly common sensical and easy to understand. I wish his channel had more subscribers.
