My uncle has a Golden State Arms Santa Fe 30-06 he hasn't shot in roughly 10-15 years. I asked what it would take for him to part with it. The stock is junk and the scope isn't any good either but neither of us know what it is worth. Anyone know what they're worth?

Thanks for the input guys. Turns out the LGS didn't have Rl17 but it had IMR4831 Barnes shows their 80gr TTSX with a max load of 59 grs Hodgdon shows a max load of 56. So if I take both and average it I'll get 57.5 grs. If i back off the max load 2% that will be a 56.3 grn load. Then I...

:banghead: The LGS is getting pretty limited on powders and Hodgdon doesn't show RL-17 on the data base but barnes does. Barnes website also shows a lot higher velocities than the Hodgdon site. What gives?

I purchased some 350 gr Speer softpoints and a can of reloder 7. Alliant list's a trapdoor load at 35 gr. Is that a start or a max load. I am shooting this in a rossi Rio Grande 45-70

I've loaded some 80Gr Barnes TTSX for my Marlin Xl7 25-06. They shoot roughly half inch 3 shot groups at one hundred yards. My only problem is I don't know the exact speed they are coming out due to the Marlins 22" barrel. The load is 54.4 grs IMR 4350 80 gr Barnes TTSX If anyone could...

Marlin XL7 in .25-06 may do the job you want. Dropped a nice doe with mine yesterday around 350-380 yards.

H-335 Being the only powder I had suitable for the job I loaded it with my 405 Gr Cast Performance WLNGC's for .45-70. Anyone have any idea the velocities I am getting with 48 grs of powder? And if it will be a sufficient deer killer?:confused:
