I got my G22c frame back from Cold Bore Customs about a week ago. Here is a list of the work I had done.
1. Grip reduction with 360 texturing (carry texture):
This is basically a "back-strap hump removal" and a re-texturing. The size of the grip now is much better suited to the size of my...
Just received a set of Badger grips for my Colt Agent. They are phenomenal. I would rate the finish 100%, the fit is about 95%, and grip comfort is 100%. Overall very pleased with my purchase and well worth the money.
I was using the Pachmayr Compac grips but because of the way they wrap...
I can't imagine that this hasn't been discussed in the past, but I can't find it in any searches. Why on earth do 22lr semi-auto pistols only hold 10 rounds. With how small the cartridges are, they should be able to fit 20-30 in a magazine. I am confident in gun manufacturers intelligence and...
A friend of mine from church has a Beretta M1923 that has been passed down through his family. I just saw it today for the first time. Anyone have an idea on what these are worth nowadays? Or where one could buy 9mm Glisenti ammo? He doesn't want to shoot it, I'm just curious.
As far as ankle carry with a snub nose is concerned, does bobbing the hammer help at all with creating a snag free draw? Or is bobbing done primarily for other carry methods (pocket, IWB)?
It arrived in the mail today, got the hammer upgrade part from Galloway Precision. I'm going to install it tonight. If any of you have done this already and have some tips let me know!
Just took my brand new SR40c to the range for the first time today. I am very impressed and disappointed simultaneously. The gun fits my hands perfectly, far more accurate than my Glock 22 and reasonably soft shooting for a 40cal however... every other round was a FTF:cuss:. Needless to say this...
I currently only have two mags for my mini, a 20rd and 30rd, both are Ruger factory mags. I have only heard bad things about aftermarket mags for the minis, but I am struggling to bring myself to spend another $50-$60 for just 1 30rd mag. Have any of you had good experiences with any other...
I took my 2 daughters for walk earlier today on a trail through the woods behind my house. I decided to go down a section of trail that I don't normally travel and happened across a chain link fence that had been bent in half with blackberry bushes on the other side (didn't think much of it at...
Just bought one of these on Gunbroker and I was wondering if any of you that own one of these has a preference on ammo? The research on this gun that I've done suggests that they will do fairly well with almost anything but as with most 22lr guns I fear that it may be picky. Anyone have...
I currently own a G22c and I am pretty fond of the 40s&w(I'm a little weird I know). I read on another thread that the HK USP was built from the ground up around the 40s&w cartridge which caught my interest. I have since read a lot of really great things about the USP but haven't had a chance...
I spent several hours this morning disassembling and cleaning my 1950s Winchester 94 standard carbine. Everything went fine and I cleaned out every bit of dirt and rust and grime in it. Reassembled everything up until the ring that fits around the mag tube and the upper hand guard. That darn...
I recently acquired a winchester 94 32 caliber pre 64 model. It is in decent shape and I'm looking to do some work to it. First off, it is missing the rear sight, I'm assuming that it was removed because there was a scope on it at one point. The side scope mount is still attached. Is there a way...
I recently posted a wanted ad on craigslist asking for old/broken firearms so that I may practice gunsmithing. There are no Gunsmithing schools in my area and I figure what better way to get started than to "just do it." Obviously I'm willing to pay a fair price for any firearms received...
