I carry only in the outdoors and almost always a revolver. I find the S&W M15/M67 about ideal but occasionally carry a Taurus M460 45 Colt or if I'm feeling really lazy a S&W M60 or M642.
I shoot SA if the gun allows this mode of fire. Tin cans, metal plates, and balloons are the preferred targets but sometimes dirt clods and tree stumps are all that’s available. Most of my guns are stocked with rubber or smooth wood grips with no sharp edges or checkering. I like to alternate...

Only while in the woods or on the farm. Usually a large revolver in a shoulder holster. Occasionally a small revolver in the front jeans or coat pocket.
I have several pocket pistols and revolvers but the M642 is my favorite. It's lightweight, simple, reliable, and adequately powerful. It's the best for me.
1911's and Hi-Powers - Basic, without all the customization. These are classic yet functional. No-nonsense get the job done appeal.
S&W revolvers(any frame) - Classic; blued finish and wood. Warm, smooth and reliable.
Makarov - Simple, rugged and reliable. Nostalgic "cold war spy movie"...

For me the M642 is the most practical pocket revolver available. Mine has a wonderful DA trigger and I have no trouble hitting my target with consistency. Recoil is bit heavy compared to an all steel model but it's a jewel to carry.
When I first saw the Kel-Tecs I thought they were just cheap junk and I would never want one, but when the P-32s came out I just had to have one. I didn't really care if it was reliable or not. It was just the idea of a real firing gun that small and light. More of a novelty really. Well...
