I agree. I have an LCP I improved edition that shoots Hornady Critical Defense HP and several different brands of ball ammo without any malfunctions. Give one of these a try. tom.
My choice would be glock 19 once they get rid of the finger-grooves, and add a much needed trigger guard under-cut to prevent glock knuckle. Until then I'll stick with the S&W SD9VE which solves both of these problems. tom.
New HRRs sell for $119.00 at Dunham's while on sale. They go on sale every other week. If that well worn SS is less than $250.00 just go buy it. If it is $119.00 you had better already own it. tom.
Yes, the SD9VE AKA Ghetto Glocks are the number one handgun in Police evidence lockers. They also fit my hands better than five previously owned Glock G-19s. I like them. YMMV. tom.
I already have two of them and at $300.00 in that condition, I'd buy it. I use a leather pocket holster or a leather pancake holster on my belt. I have many different J-frames and the 642 is one of my favorites. Enjoy your new pistol. tom.
I used to carry a full size 1911 on a daily basis. Now that I'm a senior citizen I use my 1911s for range shooting. With the recent gun ban legislation in the City of Pittsburgh, I may have to dust off the 1911s for EDC. We shall see. tom.
This is what you'd get with buying a new or used RIA 1911-A1 FS and replacing the grips, MSH, and thumb safety. I changed my grips so far. I do have an arched MSH with loop in my parts bin but don't know if I want to bother. It shoots like a top. Used under $300.00 and new for around $425.00...
I use my full size for a range gun. In the past forty some years I EDC'd a full size 1911 or Commander size. In the past five or so years it's been striker fired poly guns but recently have gone back to the 1911A1 in Commander size. YMMV. tom.
