I have a new forend for my 9mm SBR and it came with a proprietary barrel nut that needs to be indexed to the receiver. Even with the 4 shims supplied, no combination will allow me to index the nut using a torque range of 30-80 ft lbs. Should I just add more shims until it indexes correctly...

How do you lube your 1911? On my other autos I use grease on the rails and bearing surfaces, and oil on the pivot points. I run my Sigs wet. What about the 1911 platform? I'm a noob to 1911s. :confused:
