Girsan Regard MC39 (Turkish Beretta 92 clone but with frame mounted 1911-style safety)

If they made a version with the Vertec-style straight grip, I’d be all over it!

Movie: Siege of Jadotville: Lot's of vintage mil weaponry on display

Very good flick - and a great example of how the military gets treated as pawns of the politicians. Although they never got all the recognition they deserved, at least there was some acknowledgement in the end.

    FINALLY!!!!!!! It's about time!

It’s the differences that make this country great…I sold my M9 but my 92G Vertec is awesome!

Heavy winter clothing and bullet performance

Federal Expanding FMJ (EFMJ) is reported to have better winter performance because it doesn’t have a hollow tip to get clogged. Someone needs to get Carrhart and Smithfield as sponsors so they can donate jackets and pigs that can be dressed to replicate real world performance!

    Beretta 92X Quality

It will be interesting to see if the factory fixes the problems. I had the 92X on my list of future purchases…I may have to rethink that. Like you, I e never had a problem with a Beretta, somit’s surprising to hear this is SOP for them now.

    Preferred DA/SA?

Maybe there's something wrong with me, but I very rarely am ever "bothered" by a trigger - and I don't have an issue moving between guns. Maybe I'm just not sophisticated enough a shooter -- but I manage to put pretty good groups into targets with just about everything I own. (The only exception...

Built a shooting bench ........lets see yours.

I built mine a couple of years ago - 2x6 pressure treated lumber and Trex decking. It doesn’t move!

    Is TAPCO back?

I used the TAPCO G2 FCG on both my Saiga Sporter conversions (7.62x39 and 12 gauge) and they’ve been great. I did a little bit of smoothing on the hammer to keep the bolt fro, getting hung up but that was minor. It was an easy way to add three 922R compliance parts to my build!

    Who owns a PCC

I have a few: Beretta CX4, CZ Bren 2 Ms, and an Sig MPX K. All three are excellent shooters. As the only “full sized” carbine (16” barrel), the CX4 is hard to argue with!

    LGS Prices

I’m in favor of LGS to a point. Depending on the price of the gun, I may go up to $100 over online…because I want my local store to be there next year. But there are definitely times I will go with the lower price online. (I’ll generally have it transferred to my other FFL who only handles a few...

    Christmas shipping woes thread

It’s not just USPS…our local Town FB page (3,000 people) is full of “XXX says a package was delivered….if you find it” posts, At least Amazon includes a photo to help you narrow down where they mis-delivered it!

Would you rely on an AK as your primary defensive rifle?

Would I rely on an AK? Absolutely. Would it be my first choice? No. That said, I’ve become a fan or AR’s in 7.62x39….

    Christmas haul

My daughter found some really cool drink chillers - shaped like bullets. Stick them in the freezer then in your glass. They chill without melting and diluting the drink.

    Christmas haul

I sort of treated myself through all of the various Christmas specials: a new AR pistol with a 7.5” PSA upper, Anderson lower/parts kit, Magpul AFG hand stop, Hogue grip, SBA4 brace, Sig flip ups, and a Sig Romeo 5. Spent the morning installing the lower parts. I have a complete 10.5” Radical...

What is the last gun that you bought?

Picked up my third Polish Radom VIS pistol. This one is a first alphabet series - to go along with my Polish production and second alphabet.

A Holiday Quiz. A Choice of One Gun. To Defend Yourself In the Home ,On the Street or in the Wild

I picked “Other” and I was going to pick 7.62x39…SBR AR for HD and an AR or AK for the “wild”…but there isn’t a really good “street” option. So I’ll have to go with 9mm. Plenty of good HD options with high performance ammo (my Sig MPX K is a great HD platform), for daily carry, and PCC options...

How many and what guns have you given away as gifts?

Three - and all to my oldest son. Stag Arms AR, Beretta PX4 Storm, and an Sig P226.

    I want a new gun!

If I limited my gun purchases based on “need” I’d have one pistol, one rifle, and one shotgun…not the collection I have today!!
