Those of you who EDC same semi-auto.

G17. I have more faith in this weapon than any other firearm that I have ever owned. It has never failed to go bang in any way unless it was intentional on my part. I 'rest' my mags every 3 months. I have 2 other pistols, but for me, this one is it.

Any news from anybody? Berry's website still doesn't show anything new....

Which Glock has the reputation as 'most' reliable?

My early (2 pin frame) G17 has never had any reliability issues. And I have no clue as to how many rounds have been through it. And I bought it used!!!

    Glock 19 opinions?

    How was it not reliable?

    Glock 19 opinions?

Yes, you can 'make' a Glock jam. I can do it almost every time when I want to with my G17. However, it never does it when I'm not trying to. If you hold it loosely or weak arm it, it will jam for you. There is a YouTube video where the 2 guys are 'comparing' a Glock to an XD (I think) and if you...

    Berry's new Hollow Point bullets

You like the 147 in 9mm also? Cool, most people that I know shoot the 124... I was thinking about 180 in the .40. Are you going to try the load data that I am thinking of also? Crap at my work is crazy and probably will be for a few more weeks and I don't have the extra mental focus that I like...

    Berry's new Hollow Point bullets

Is anybody besides me going to try some 9mm, hopefully in 147grain? If so, are you going to start with an xtp or gdhp load or similar?

    powder and primer storage

Ron, that's what I've been looking for. I did 2 different searches and those didn't come up. Thank you! I now have to redraw my box/crate designs, but no biggie.

    Berry's new Hollow Point bullets

If they actually perform like the picture suggests and they can be accurate, I think that I have found my bullet for my Glock reloads..... 147 grain in 9mm, 125 grain in .357 Sig, and 180 grain in .40!!!!!!! And hopefully 1 powder to load them all!!!!!!

    powder and primer storage

Mostly I hear wooden containers because in the event of a fire, the wooden box would be less of an explosion hazard than the ammo can.... I'm not anticipating a fire, but we don't anticipate car wrecks either.... whatever I use will be very well labeled. I had also thought of a 30 mm ammo can...

    powder and primer storage

Ok, I have seen several threads on here where people are talking about how and where they store their primers and or powders. I WAS going to keep primers in a .50 ammo can with a dessicant pack. Then I saw where several people were recommending a wooden box, are primers ok stored without...

    Small Pistol/Rifle/Magnum/NATO Primers, How interchangeable?

Ok, I think I have finally had my question answered with research. I want to use the #41 and m34 CCI primers for my AR weapons. They are magnum primers as stated by CCI. I can't find load data for .223/5.56 with magnum primers. If I have this right, I can safely do this as long as I back the...

Question about a hunting bullet for .223

Yeah, but when you DRT a deer like that, they don't even twitch and you don't have to worry about the meat being tough from running and lactic acid. It's all tender with little to no prep!!! Unless it's a very old and wise one. Then it's more about melding with the woods and wildlife than it is...

Question about a hunting bullet for .223

I've taken deer with headshots with a 68 grain Hornady matchking. It literally turns the brain into a deep red jelly. And I've shot some Sierra 69 grain with mixed results. My AR likes the Hornady better.

    I have lots of questions.....

Mtrmn, that was the first time I have ever heard that. EVERYWHERE and EVERYTHING that I have previously read says that the leade is different and that the cases aren't exactly the same. And that is where the extra pressure comes from. As a way to shoot 5.56 in an AR that is actually chambered...

    I have lots of questions.....

Thanks for the safety concerns guys, I do know the differences in .223 and 5.56 and from what I have read, the .308 and 7.62 are basically interchangeable as per SAMMI. I have only .223 cases for my .223 and etc.... please keep info coming for me. I search and read here and other places, but as...
