I have a Remington 1100 20 gauge with a serial number that ends in an X. It is in remarkable condition and has a 26” barrel. Am I right that the ones with serial numbers ending in X are built on a heavier action and are a bit more valuable?

The scope is a NightForce 3.5-15x50. The camo was done by CCR in Tennesse. That's the second barrel I've had on it. I shot the first one out. Many many happy rounds have been put through ol' Nady.

At some point I was told that a stock that fits a Remington Long Action bolt rifle will also work with a Howa 1500. Anybody know if that is so?

It has a non-removable mount. I figure the windage and elevation must be on the base it mounts to. I'm skeptical that it's a rifle scope too.
