I'm trying to decide between an Alessi ankle holster and the Galco "Ankle Glove". Anyone out there who uses either of these two holsters?
I have a locate on the Alessi @ 160 + shipping.
The Galco is at Arizona Gun Runners at 72 + another 20 or so for the calf band.
It seems to me the...
I slugged the barrel of my .32-20 S&W and it measured .309 (ridges formed by the rifling) and .308.
Here are my choices for bullets
Magtech- .313
Hornady- .314
Laser Cast- .313
Speer- .314
Hunters Supply- .309
Which, if any, are ok to load, based on their diameter. All are...
Being a confirmed brass whore I never let the fact that I didn't have a .40S&W keep me from picking up that brass. When I hit critical mass I prepped the brass and am ready to load it. I worked up a load with my Smith 610 and am ready to try and add to my Glock20 to shoot .40S&W in it...
I ordered some 180 grain RNFs and converted my Dillon Square Deal today from 9mm to my new .40S&W/10mm to load some brass.
When I opened the box of bullets I had ordered, I found 200 grain bullets. The packing slip is long gone and the online order I printed is at the office. I got a bottle...
I have a Smith .32-20 I'd like to load for. Apparently it is used in Cowboy shoots but I'm having no luck finding brass thru all the usual suspects. Does anyone load for this caliber and have a source for brass.
Thanks............
Nevermind. I found it online at Midway. Didn't see it in...
Or .44Spl from a .44Mag, etc.
I've heard pros and cons. One guy said it would cause carbon buildup in the cylinders and the longer cases would stick. Also claimed there could be pitting under the carbon. Seems like a good cleaning would take care of that.
Others have said it's no big deal...
I've been reloading for several years and one of my first projects (Nov 26, '05)was 158 grain Gold Dots for a GP100. I wasn't impressed with the results and picked up some H110 to try. Unfortunately, reloading for other calibers, etc. has prevented me from proceeding.
In the meantime I picked...
Does it have data for their 135 grain Gold Dot for .38/.357? Mine (#13) does not. Go figure. It has 125 Gold Dots and 140 JHPs, IIRC. Not close. I don't want to order one if it is just a rehash of mine with no additional listings.
Thanks.
CDNN has the mags with the spring in stock. 29.99. They are Browning boxed. These things must be produced once a year or something. I've gone through this for the last couple of years when I needed one.
Midway had them marked Out of Stock, expected 8-18-07 last time I checked.
My HP just hit 1000 rounds, where I had decided to replace the recoil spring. After reading some articles suggesting bumping it to 18.5# I installed one, after finding the magic cuss word that stuffed it into the slide. Wow.
I haven't shot it yet, so I can't be sure of the operation with the...
A few weeks ago mine started making a sound like a turkey call when the rear tube (major powder drop) was turning. Squeak, Squeak, Squeak. This morning when calibrating, the powder dispenser was very jerky and went thru the operation in a manner unlike any time before- long pauses, then rapid...
I have a line on some- reproductions, maybe, not original- and pricey. OR, they may be those for another rifle.
I've read that '03 Springfield clips may work. Anyone use these in an Arisaka? Or any other types?

I'm loading my first .308s, a 150 grain FMJ from Midway
My Sierra manual lists 2.775". I have mine seated to 2.770 since I get .002 to .003" jump when the round is chambered. I'm not crimping. When I seated the bullet, there is still (I estimate, didn't measure) about .0625" of copper showing...
In another post I mentioned weighing some Hornady 75 grain HPBTs on my digital scale. It is set up in my computer room on a TV type table, which is as level as I can get it.
Two nights ago I weighed 100 and segregated them by weight.
Last night I recalibrated the scale and started to weigh...
I would appreciate any information from those of you who reload for competition or with accuracy as a primary concern.
I have reloaded for several years, starting with pistol. I have a Bushmaster, 24" 1x9 barrel and recently started loading 69 grain SMKs with good results. I read some good...
If you have the current manual handy, does it have data for the Hornady 75 Grain HPBT? I'd like to load that, but I don't want to order a manual if it isn't covered. I emailed them this question a couple of weeks ago, no answer. Haven't found one locally.
ETA: or the same data from the...
I'm reloading for a Bushmaster, 24" 1x9.
Remington brass, 25.2 grains Varget, 69 grain SMKs. CCI 41 primer.
It's almost time to reorder primers and I want to try another type. Have you ever reloaded the above components and gotten better results with another primer? Of course my ressults...
I'm buying a Kowa 601 spotting scope and I'm trying to decide on the eyepiece for it.
I shoot .223 and .308. Presently, I'm limited to 100 yards but I'm about to apply for membership at a range with 200 yard positions. While it's possible I may shoot at longer distances in the future I just...
.2505> .248 > .2465 .246 > .2455 .245 > .2450
I have some once fired Winchester .223 cases I want to size to .244. I measured them and the necks measured .2505 in diameter. I decided to take them down in stages to minimize stress on the necks, so I used a Redding titanium nitride bushing...
I'm interested in loading this bullet in .223 Remington. It isn't specifically listed in my old Hodgdon, Sierra, Speer, Lyman or Lee manuals. The Hornady website is not help, they only list one 45 grain bullet in their "Products" ????.
Can anyone cite a source?
I'm currently loading 69...
