The frame on my gen 2 17 cracked and Glock replaced with a gen 3 frame for free. This was about 5 years ago and they didn’t have any gen 2 frames. Only downside is serial numbers no longer match but that’s not a big deal to me.

I will find one in .357 mag eventually. I reload for 357 so it should be relatively simple to find the “right” load for the single shot.

I’m happy with Ergo Delta grips I put on my 442.

I put a set of these on my 442 and it cured the knuckle bump problem. They take a little getting use to but they do reduce felt recoil.

No such thing as paying too much. Just buying too early.

I have an older M&P Hand Ejector .38 special S/N 3083XX. No prefix. No model numbers. Can anyone tell me what year it was manufactured and where I find period correct grips?

I don’t know if ammunition costs are a consideration but in my area .410 ammo is twice the cost of 20 or 12 gauge. Maybe even three times as expensive. Something to think about if you are going to be shooting much.

I’ve found some decent deals in local pawn shops. You have to visit regularly and know your prices. And remember cash is king!

I had a 37 feather weight 20 ga that I bought new in '68 or '69. Took a lot of quail and pheasants in the wheat fields of Kansas. Sadly I sold it whn Imwent into the Navy in '72.

I attribute the high price of .410 shells to the popularity of pistols such as the Governor and the Judge. I have a couple of .410s that I bought back in the middle 60s and ammo prices used to be quite reasonable.

I'm interested in knowing where you can buy .410 for $8 a box. Both 2 1/2 & 3" are running $13/14per box. Bought an old Stevens 20 ga because it is cheaper for grandson to shoot.
