Depends on the distance, probably Stingers up close. However, we shoot Blazer and Mini Mags at 330 yards with surprising accuracy.

M38's are getting scarce. $300 is about typical. They are fun to shoot. Way more fireball and kick than the longer 91/30's.

I can assure you, they are restored by a very highly regarded shop that does very high quality restorations. $795 is a steal for the quality of work. The JRA Garands are nice but these are not from JRA.

Can't say it's the same issue for certain. However, I had the same problem with an old weak clip that did not have enough tension to hold the rounds. Used a "tighter" one and was fine.

The Savage BA series should not feel cheap. Shoot one if you get a chance.
