    @ TexasPatriot.308,,,,, LOL! I'm an Army vet and left the tactics with my discharge also. Too funny! Modern tactics are like the Toyota Prius... do we all really need it???? (not me).

    One is slightly older... The Eddystone is slightly older (1918). The Lee Enfield is 1923.

    velocette, thanks! I'll check that out and get back to ya. I love the rifle, it's deadly accurate (150 speers) and will reach out a long ways. Gotta take care of the ol' girl.

    Enfield Question

    Ishapore ???'s I'm pretty confused with mine. It has (G.R.I. - Ishapore - ShtLE - 1923 - III) and i'm seeing posts saying Ishapore models are .308 and not built till 1965...???? So, what have i got? A .303 or a .308? I can take a pic if needed. Thanks guys!

    Eddystone Thanks for the info. Oh, i plan on fixing before using again. I have a small collection since my first gun in 1964 and use them alot. This Eddystone is def getting attention and repair since it's one of my most accurate and most used. Really appreciate your help.

    Hi, i have a beautiful sporterized Eddystone M1917 (ser # 950974) that shoots great. The problem is that twice it has fired unexpectedly. Once while unloading and once when i took the safety off. Luckely it was pointed in the proper position both times. I posted here because i figured gunsmiths...
