    Rossi M92 .357 won't feed .38s

Yeah, it's Universal Clays. Gotta admit it's a bit confusing with the naming... I could just stick 38 loads in 357 cases I suppose, but...darnit I shouldn't have to.

    Rossi M92 .357 won't feed .38s

Title pretty much says it all; I picked up a new Rossi M92 .357 carbine in stainless steel a month or two ago...great gun, I love it to pieces, but the little bugger just refuses to feed .38 Specials. While I've got a ton of 357 ammo on hand, I'd much prefer to reserve it for when I really need...

What kind of fiberglass resin would be good for a handgaurd

Personally I'd recommend an epoxy, they seem to be more tolerant of higher temperatures than polyester and vinylester resins...

    Dumb question time

The only issue I've ever run across with die brands is Lee dies on a Hornady LnL press; the Lee dies' threads just aren't quite long enough to be really happy when they're adjusted properly. But even that can be worked with if you use a Hornady or Forster clamp type lock ring, or turn the Lee...

Considering switching from hornady single stage to progressive...what else to buy?

Shellplates and powder, pretty much. If your dies are all already set up in bushings for the single stage, you shouldn't have to do anything with them besides possibly adjusting them a little. I also use the RCBS lockout die, and agree with the frustrations above but still use it. Cleaning up...

    reloading in the car?

jmorris, I freakin LOVE the trailer hitch receiver mount. Gonna have to borrow a welder and make one for my ancient Suburban!

    Can you reload Nickel cases?

Yup! I have reloaded steel pistol cases before, at least until I realized they were nickel plated steel and not nickel plated brass. It worked fine, no issues whatsoever; I didn't even know until I set one down next to a fridge magnet on the counter. As to loading actual nickel plated...

    Soap Scum Inside Cases?

Well it's not soap scum, since Dawn is a detergent and not a soap; the only time I've seen something similar is when cleaning steel cases in an ultrasonic cleaner, they came out kinda gunky greasy looking. Still not sure what did that, but they loaded fine after I dried them and then tumbled in...

    Removing unfired primers

I've decapped plenty of live primers, never had an issue. I even deliberately tried to set one off in my press by decapping it somewhat vigorously and couldn't do it. Having said that, I'd rather have it and not need it than need it and not have it. Wear the ^%$@# glasses.

    Is Collecting Presses A Hobby

Let's see...my mainstay LnL-AP, a Lee turret, a little RCBS "O" rig, and soon to be a pair of CH4D Auto Champs. I'm one of those weird tinker types, and reloading stuff is just the excuse I love to tinker on something. Eventually I could see myself collecting all manner of ancient, esoteric...

    Noob questions

Speaking personally of course... If you do some research, figure out what exactly you need/want to load as much ammo as you need/want in the time in which you have to do it, a kit can save you some money. But as noted, many kits come with stuff you just don't need, and don't come with stuff...

Looking for a ported barrel for my new Glock 34

www.storm-lake.com has them, ported pretty much however you want it. I don't have one myself, how do you like the 34?

    DW 15-2 issue(s)

Got a Monson 15-2 a while back, and I've been having some issues with it. Started out, after an hour or so at the range it'd get to where it was really hard to cock the hammer unless I manually "helped" the cylinder come around. Eventually the whole thing bound up. Took the barrel off and...

    Mosin Nagant... I got questions

I was really active on the russian-mosin-nagant forum for quite some time, right up until my Izzy 91/30 was stolen. They're really great guns, and though there's a large contingent of folks who think sporterizers should all be hung drawn and quartered (be careful asking such questions over...

My Latest Rebuild, a 1911 from SCRATCH

I'd love to see a really well done compact, something along the lines of a Springfield EMP. 9mm, .40SW, maybe .45ACP. Iddy biddy little thing. Done up to Wilson's or Ed Brown's high standards.

What clever little things have you "invented or discovered" that you can share?

Loaded round counter So I got bored the other day and went to Skycraft, an industrial surplus store down in Orlando. They had these little mechanical counters for $3.50 and I got one just for gits and shiggles. Then I got an inspiration: stick it on a case-activated powder drop. Now you've...

    AR15 Load Info

I absolutely love the 60gr Vmax over 26 grains of Varget and a CCI SR primer. I could routinely drop 1/2" groups at 100 yards, all day and all night, out of my 16" DPMS super bull barrel. And if I ever find the goat licking turdburglar who stole that rifle, he'll get to meet my Taurus 1911.

45 ACP and Universal. Load check.

It's quite possible that someone worked up a max load, knocked it down by 10% and published that; then someone else came along, saw their number, knocked 10% off and published it, and so on. If you start off at the lowest published number and work up in 0.1 or 0.2 grain increments, scouting for...

Tell me the CONS of the Hornady LNL AP

Glitchy primer feeding with the large primer shuttle was the only problem I've had with it, barring my own stupid screwups. If you gently file the nose end of the primer shuttle, it'll go all the way forward and be happy. The primer shuttle slot does tend to get powder in it if you miss a...
