I spend a lot of time at the range, and have j frames, as well as full size autos and revolvers, and compact autos. In the hands of someone who doesnt practice, a shield is no better than a J frame. All those small guns require practice to master. I regularly outshoot people at 25 and 50 yards...

I had a SP101 , almost every load i shot had sticky extraction. Same loads would fall right out of our GP100 or M28.........

Model 49 question J617xx. I thought the 49's were blue, but this one is either stainless, or maybe has been chromed? I dont know. It does have some small rust spots on it. Trying to clean it up for my mother-in-law.

I cleaned it good. My concern is that the loads I have been shooting for years are hotter than they should be...and I just didnt know it

4 revolvers , S&W 686+ , Ruger GP100 , S&W Mod 28 , brand new Ruger Sp101 4 loads , all 158 Gr jhp / jsp 14.0 2400 16.5 H-110 8.0 Power pistol 6.3 CSB-1 all loads work fine in every gun EXCEPT the SP-101 , all show sticky extraction in that one to a degree.Removing them one at a time...

Cant remember for sure, but it seems I read that was actually one of the CSB powders, not sure if it was CSB-1 , or CSB-5 JIm

Why is it so hard to believe? I use a uncle mikes, i can slip it out, slide the gun in and put the holster / gun back in my waistband in not time at all....and I will guarantee you it is safer than trying to re-holster with IWB in pants. I carry both IWB and OWB , but that is the way I have...
