I used a 20” Ballistic Advantage 1-10 barrel, and have gotten to 900 yards(longest distance available)with 168 and 175 grain SMK. This particular barrel didn’t like 150 grain bullets at all.

I lucked up a few months ago, and found an original Savage made Enfield at a good price. Also have an unfired no4 mk2 that’s as new. Prices on original military surplus rifles have gone out of sight, and are getting out of my price range, but I’m lucky to have found these two.

I always cycle the bcg around 100 times by hand on a new rifle/build before ever firing it. This helps break everything in and avoid such problems.

You did a great job on that wood! I’ve got a “T” marked no4 mk1 sniper that someone sporterized many years ago. They did a great job, and it’s very accurate. I’d LOVE to have it in its original condition, but appreciate it as is.

Nice revolver! I’ve got a 6” with the same grips and love them. Mine came with the finger groove Hogues, and these feel much better.

My Chinese SKS is actually pretty accurate, and has a decent 4 pound 2-stage trigger. Don’t know if it’s been modified, because I bought it used. Here’s a 100 yard group shot off the seat of my atv.

I have an AR and a Mossberg bolt action in 450, and like them both. They’re both overkill for deer sized game, but do the job nicely. 450 Bushmaster is easy to hand load for accuracy.

My 4” Redhawk 45 convertible would be my choice. 45 auto for two legged problems, and 45 Colt from the Ruger only section of the reloading manual for four legged ones. 45 Colt is a very versatile cartridge. 700 FPS cowboy loads for fun, and 250 grain bruisers at 1450 FPS for serious stuff.

I have a Huber trigger on my 1891 Argentine Mauser, and it's worth every penny.

Also love my rim fires. Recently bought this 1973 vintage Glenfield 75 carbine in excellent condition with original 4x scope.

I’ve got a 1989 model first year production 3” SP101 in 38 special. With an action job and some springs, it’s an excellent shooting and accurate revolver. Added Pachmayr Diamond Pro grips and fiber optic front sight.

Places like Midway and Primary Arms seem to get my packages to me on time, or within a couple days of estimated time. Optics Planet could do the same. That’s why I don’t deal with them anymore.

Mine would be my 1989 production 3” Ruger SP101. Plenty strong enough for anything needed, and very accurate.
