    Handgun "Precision" Reloading

If precision means accurate then try lead bullets, at least in 38, 357, 40 and 45acp. The extra .001" diameter certainly seems to help.

    I'm Very Happy...

I love my Lyman trimmer. I did the cordless drill thing on it for a while and it works but I went back to the hand crank.

    1911 Essex

Essex makes a good frame but you'll be buying a parts gun. Unless you are into building your own 1911s you might want to avoid it. I'd buy it if the price was right but I "do" 1911's. Here's my latest build, Essex frame, Colt side and barrel, Chip McCormick and Wilson innards with a random...

Does anyone clean their shotsells before loading

I tie them up in a pillow case and toss them in the dryer for a few minutes, don't tell my wife. If you've ever picked up wet hulls you'll understand.

    What 1911's do you own?

Right now I only own a Kimber, Norinco and a Home Brew. I had to give one of my Home Brews to my youngest and My Auto Ord to my oldest. It sucks being down to three 1911's, time to build another. Here's my Kimber

Am I the only one who hates cleaning guns, HELP

It's not that I don't like cleaning guns. It's just that sometimes I feel I have more important things to do, like petting the cats or loading ammo for the next "gun dirtying" session. I guess you could say I have priority problems or that I sometimes get the gun dirtying horse behind the...

Former UFC Champion talks about Gun Control

It looked and sounded like a positive thing to me. I agree The anti-gun nuts took the big one up the patootie with Heller.

Do heavier bullets drop faster than lighter bullets....

I didn't think it was all that bad of a thread. Those who didn't know about the gravitational constant are now aware that it exists. Those who hadn't thought about the resistance of air to a falling object are now aware of it. We all picked up little bit of knowledge.

Now I know why I always end up with a headache when I put 100 round through my Ruger RedHawk 44mag.

    Novice steel plate gun ?

In Steel Challenge (SCSA) all you have to is hit the plates. A lot of guys I shoot steel with shoot .22 You can shoot 45acp but that just means someone will have to go down and set the plates back up. In SCSA I usually use 9mm, 3.8gr Unique, 147gr lead and WSP primers in a Glock 17 with a...

What primer depth should I look for with 38 special?

My 2 cents My J frame Model 60 will sometimes do light hammer strikes in double action mode. If you get a light hammer strike in double action mode try that same round in single action mode. If it fires in single action mode the primer was seated properly. The hammer doesn't go back as...

    What effects accuracy with reloading?

Some of the most accurate 9mm loads I've ever created were with Berry's double struck 115gr plated bullets. I've also really botched a bunch of those bullets before I figured out that I had to be careful crimping. It seems like the base of those bullets is fairly easy to crumple if a guy...
