    Heavy 223 varmint bullet? (70gr++)

I think match type bullets are all you'll find in that weight range. They won't (consistently) perform like varmint bullets, but they'll kill them just as dead...and cost more.

    204 Ruger Loads

My favorite powder for 204 is blc2. Rl15 has a huge following but ive never tried it.

    New Sights for 2 Glocks

The range I'll shoot at most is indoors and they do occasionally take advantage of that and create low/no light stages. Would that influence your choice of going with night sights over standard black?

    New Sights for 2 Glocks

I am looking to upgrade my factory sights on a 34 and a 19. The 34 is used solely for IDPA (maybe home defense in a pinch,) while the 19 is my CCW. There are a ton of options, which is a good thing, but at the same time it can be overwhelming. I like the Heinie sights and have heard...

I am hoping to get started in competitive shooting (IDPA) very soon. What would be your recommended reading?

    Beta C mag..Tacticool or ?

I'm not a fan, but to each their own. The only reason I could see using one was during a sustained defensive operation where you needed to lay down suppressive fire for extended periods. I don't think I'll ever be in one.

    Eotech 512 question

If it is cowitnessed with your iron sights it has been roughly sighted in. Take it to the range to fine tine it. You won't notice the front sight because you will just be looking through the dot at your target.

Hit my limit of how many rounds, in how many days!

You are tougher than I!!! I couldn't shoot 20% of your lightest day without feeling it.

    marlin 1894c .357 magnum vs 16" AR-15 .223 rem.

I'll say it again...this is NO contest. The AR is better suited to defensive use in ALL aspects. There isn't one area where the Marlin matches or exceeds the AR. Terminal balistics, capacity, accuracy, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc...all favor the AR by a mile. Forget the pistol round (357)...

    marlin 1894c .357 magnum vs 16" AR-15 .223 rem.

I don't even see how you could compare the two guns for this situation. The AR is better in comparison in all regards...capacity, accuracy, ergonomically, energy, effectiveness, you name it. I honestly don't understand some of the previous answers.

    Winchester 94 Rear Sight Problem

The rear sight adjusts BOTH Sunday's and elevation. Follow the advice of the others with the exception of the Kidd. His advice is incorrect.

    Wild boar pic

Nice tusks! I'd say no more than 250. I first saw it on my iphone and guessed what the first poster did (sub 100). It is certainly bigger than that. Good luck.

6mm sierra 85gr hpbt experiences on game at high velocity

I have had excellent results on deer-sized game with the 85g Sierra. Its exceptional accuracy is hard to beat as well. It is the only bullet I load in 243 anymore.

I saw an interesting Sig P229 and P226 today.

I don't know that I would say the beavertails on ALL Sigs are useless. I have one on a SAO 220 Carry and although I am not concerned about hammerbite in the least it affords some protection to the hammer. Also, it allows for a higher grip and one that is slightly more familiar to 1911...

    30-30, brush, and LEVERevolution

A brush gun is one that is light and handy to carry into the brush. It is quick to shoulder and fire as well. ALL bullets will deflect when they hit brush, branches, etc. Some will deflect more than others. How much? You never know, so don't try to shoot through stuff when you are hunting...
