    The RUGER OLD ARMY Club

I wanna join  Question, I have some 200gr .454" laser-cast RNFP for my .45 long Colt. Will they work in this bad boy? Also have some 255gr .454" SWC from laser-cast. I did make the mistake of buying .454" round ball the first time, whoops...

    .38 Special BBWC Load Check

My starting load was 3.8gr of Unique, and was the only load I actually fired (Post #6). I had 5.3gr listed as the max load in my original post to give me the top end.

    .38 Special BBWC Load Check

This load has turned into a head scratcher for me. GP100 liked them a lot, no issues at all and found a good load that was accurate. The J-Frame didn't get past the first set. I fired off 2 rounds at 3.8gr and I filled the entire barrel's rifle with lead, couldn't even finish testing since I...

Anybody have any 185gr HPBT loads for a 7mm Rem Mag? So far I've only found data in a Nosler book. Wanted to give them a whirl in my Rem 700.

What are your ReloadingGoals for 2019?

Keep using my stocked components, been hitting some sweet deals on garage sales the last few years and have enough components on hand to feed me for years, just have to get them into a useable state. I also think I'm ready to buy a Dillon SL900 for shotshell. At this point, I can't load them...

    Remora's Having A Sale Currently

I opted for the Micro holster from Remora which has a clip design. I had considered Sticky at the time but I wanted a single clip design, and unfortunately Sticky doesn't have any options.

    Remora's Having A Sale Currently

Just wanted to pass the word along that Remora is having a 40% off sale right now with a free magazine pouch on orders. I just ordered a Micro to try my J Frame in, for $25 shipped that's hard to beat (I used the Amazon payment option, it slashed the original shipping cost that the system...

    Yay! My First Ruger #1!

I finally picked up a #1 rifle! Always have wanted a big bore one to play with. Finally found one that had to follow me home. Owner of the LGS was cleaning out some of his personal rifles and this one caught my eye. Ruger #1 in .458 Win Mag. Now my buddy's smoking because I had to go and...

    Lee Single Stage Bolt Patterns

Anyone know off hand if the bolt patterns between the Lee Challenger Breech Lock Single Stage and the Lee Classic Breech Lock Single Stage are the same? Been looking to upgrade my Challenger to a Classic to get a little more rigidity and more press space, while retaining my interchangable...

    Who's gearing up for doves?

Good to know about 9's being too light, I happen to have some 7-1/2's that are game load speeds that'll work good too. Trying to pack light, backpack, 8 plastic decoys, mojo (gave in a bought one), decoy ground stakes, and maybe my camp stool instead of the bucket. It's only a 1/4 mile hike to...

    Finally Started Reloading!

Nice! I started reloaded with my Lee Challenger on a 2"x6" clamped to my $5 desk with a spanner Vise-Grips lol Luckily my apartment manager was supportive of my reloading habit :D I wish I could find some W231/HP-38 around here to reload with, my go-to 10mm load is out since my 8lb ran...

    Who's gearing up for doves?

Who's getting restless to go shoot some doves? I'm prepping for my first true year of dove hunting. Normally I just pick off one or two in the backyard during the season. Got my gun, my bucket, some 12ga 9 shot reloads, some clip on decoys, and a nice strip of county ditch w/ prairie grass...

    Brands of Dove Decoys

So I've been shopping out for some dove decoys and haven't found a single one within 50 miles beside the Mojo Voodoo Doves. I already planned to get at least on mojo but I've been wanting to find a handful of stationary ones to supplement the mojo. At this point I'm probably just going to...

Looking for a good 12 gauge load for a youth

Another source to check with would be Ballistic Products. They do quite a bit with Fiocchi hull loads.

Looking for a good 12 gauge load for a youth

Any idea what shot weight you're looking for? Also what's he doing with it: trap, skeet, hunting, etc. I have tried out most of the 7/8oz loads if you're looking for light ones and nearly all of them worked just fine. Still working on a few 3/4oz loads so no suggestions there. My...

    Buying used brass--lesson learned

FYI keep a close eye at Starline's website. I just received an order from them less than 2 weeks ago (maybe ordered a month ago at most) for a 1,000 10mm brass. I usually try to check the website once or twice a week for anything I'm looking for since stock comes and goes rather fast from...

    Recommendations on Small Game Knife

Budget in mind? An inexpensive Mora, Marttiini, Buck all do the job just fine. And from their you can get as fancy as you want. Personally I choose my Marttiini Lynx or Skinner to get the job done on small game. Otherwise my Rapala fillet knife depending on the cut.
