I have a question about a Smith & Wesson of mine. It's a .357 mag model 66 with a 2.5" barrel length. When I bought it, the gentleman made a big deal about " it's a model 66 no dash!" What does the absence of a dash in the model numbers on a Smith & Wesson mean? Any info will be greatly appreciated!

Sounds normal to me. I dont remember right off hand about the 336 but I know marlin 1894's all have that "famous" marlin trigger flop. I've heard some people just can't stand it and upgrade to an aftermarket trigger that eliminates that. It never really bothered me cause the trigger seems nice...

I prefer shorter barrels personally. Not to brag or anything but I've pulled off better shots with my Smith 66 with a 2.5" barrel than some people I've seen with rifles.
