    380 Day

What a nice showing of 380's! Crazy good! If this thread would've been posted several months ago I would've thought "nice pistols ladies"...but wait...I've recently been bitten by the 380 bug! I now have a Glock 28 and a S&W Shield 380 EZ. Seems like most have opted for the Glock 42 instead of...

Glock triggers - help me please.

Years ago I had a Glock 26 and couldn't hit the target with it. Swore off Glocks and didn't look back until recently when I came across a 26 in the Cabela's gun library. I felt the challenge to try a 26 again. Bought it and have been to the range several times. What a nice shooter (Gen 3) this...

Smiley face cut on case mouth using Lee powder through expanding die

Just loaded 20 rounds using the #10 RCBS shell holder. If I pulled the handle down too far I could feel "something happening" to the case. Upon examination the smiley face was about to occur by seeing the beginning of damage to the case mouth. But if I took it easy and pulled up just after the...

Just returned from Cabela's with the RCBS #10 shellholder. I'll be working on some loads this afternoon.

Thanks Rule 3. The 380 wall seems thinner than other calibers.

Smiley face cut on case mouth using Lee powder through expanding die

My Lee #4 shellholder is the one that came with the 4 die set. I went out to the garage and put a case in it and there is some wiggle which makes me think it may be problematic. https://www.thehighroad.org/index.php?threads/lee-and-their-close-enough-shell-holders.908551/

Smiley face cut on case mouth using Lee powder through expanding die

CQB45ACP...I didn't get to your pic on page 2 until just now. That looks like the beginning phase of what's going on. A continued push down on the ram will produce a smile type cut. Thanks! And no apology needed! No insult detected.

Smiley face cut on case mouth using Lee powder through expanding die

Blue68f100 & CQB45ACP & GW Staar...With my next powder drop loads I'll be sure to take it slow & straight to see if that helps. Thanks!

Smiley face cut on case mouth using Lee powder through expanding die

GeoDudeFlorida...It's the Breechlock press that's supported front & rear. I've noticed Lee makes a cheaper version with just a rear single support. The ram has no measurable movement when I try to move it side to side or front to back.

Smiley face cut on case mouth using Lee powder through expanding die

I wish I was handy in posting pics. Envision the case mouth perfectly open and round. Then after a trip thru the Lee PTE die, there's a section, not quite a 1/4", that's slightly cut on both ends that's bent inwards that looks like a human smile. I'll play around with the adjustment and add...

Smiley face cut on case mouth using Lee powder through expanding die

Been using my Lee Breechlock press for a number of years and just ventured into loading 380 Got everything dialed in and some of brass comes out of the powder through expanding die with a smiley face cut on the case mouth. The part that's cut folds over into the mouth. I've had this happen a...

I've come close to shooting it but I'm such a bad shot I can't even do that!

    I Dropped My Chrono (twice)

That's my next step but thought I'd run it by the folks here just to see if anyone has ever done such.
