    Kahr questions: MK9 & PM9

I've got an MK9 Elite '98, but am thinking of switching to a PM9. Comments from those who have done so? Is the weight savings worth it? Does Kahr have the bugs worked out of the polymer frame now? Also, can MK9 magazines be used in a PM9? Thanks for your input!

625: What can you do with it?

So how readily available is .45 Auto Rim? Is it more expensive than ACP?

625: What can you do with it?

Considering getting a S&W 625 in .45 ACP, 5" barrel. My understanding is you have to shoot it with moon clips? Can you shoot anything other than .45 ACP? Does anyone make a rimmed cartridge? Also, would you consider hunting with one (up to small whitetail size), or should it be viewed as...

    NAA Mini Revolver Question

I have a 1 7/8" .22 mag mini revolver I've carried often in a pocket holster. Now I'm thinking of getting the Black Widow (2" barrel), or, possibly the Mini Master (4" barrel). Question--Does the Mini Master fit in a front pocket, or should pocket carriers steer toward the Black Widow? Thanks...

    K-Frame Endurance Question

Years ago the conventional wisdom was that a S&W K-frame, such as a model 66, could not stand up to the pounding of a steady diet of full power .357's (hence, the introduction of the L-frame). Then they started building .357's on the J-frame. So, is it still the case that a K-frame .357...

    S&W Scandium, Titanium question

Did S&W make any scandium revolvers (.357's) without the internal key lock? Did they make any titanium revolvers without the lock? I'm thinking of looking for one, but I despise the built in lock. Thanks for any info.

    Fort Worth recommendation?

Thanks aircarver, I talked to On Target Firearms and they have classes every Saturday. Very reasonable price: $75 includes ammo, fingerprints, photos, range time and class instruction. I plan to go there...

    .32 H&R Magnum

I'm considering getting a .32 H&R for my wife (S&W model 332) because I know it would be more controllable in a lightweight snub than a .38. But I don't know much about the caliber. Do you find it readily available and what about ballistics for self-defense? Thanks for any advice. Weylan

    J frame clarification

Can someone please tell me what the difference is between a S&W 342 and a 342PD? How about a 340 and a 340PD? It looks to me like the only difference is color (and maybe the front sight). Am I right? Thanks for clarifying. Weylan

    .45 LC--Big Bear Protection?

ACP, If a single action is discouraged, could a double action .45LC handle the CorBon loads? Any thoughts on a Glock 10mm for such a purpose?

    Bisley grip frame--source?

I've a stainless Ruger Vaqero with the standard grip frame, and have read that it is interchangeable with the Bisley. I checked Ruger's catalog, but didn't see anything saying you could buy a Bisley grip frame by itself. Is this possible? Or, is there another maker of aftermarket stainless...

    .45 LC--Big Bear Protection?

Would any of you consider hot .45 Long Colt loads (such as CorBon's .45 LC Magnum +P) adequate for self-defense against a big bear? Do I understand that these loads equal or exceed the .44 magnum in performance? Thanks for your advice.

    Shorten barrel on .375?

I've got a stainless Winchester M70 in .375 H&H Magnum which I hope to one day use in Africa (dangerous game) and for big bears. It has a 24" barrel, which I'm contemplating shortening by 3 inches for ease of handling (I'm 5'7"). Is this wise? Would I lose enough velocity to make a difference...
