Can’t build one this cheap…BCA sale holy smokes

I love BCA. Cheap but quality build. Never had any issues with them.

I may actually buy a Glock

While I prefer other guns like HK and CZ, the CZ ergos for me are just a thing of beauty, there is one Glock that I really like. The Glock 30 SF. It just feels good to me. Whether it's the finger grooves or the shortened trigger reach, it feels better than any other Glock I've shot. That's why...

What WON'T you carry and why?

The "why" for me is literally because with the micros of today you get a 9mm the same size as any 380. The concealed argument is gone. With that aspect gone then the performance of the 9 always trumps the 380. The slight recoil difference and follow-up speed is negated with use and experience...

What WON'T you carry and why?

I wouldn't carry anything 380. I despise the round and find it too expensive and underperforming. Just me though. I carry at least a .38 or 9 mm. I WOULD carry a 22 over 380 though.

    Kel-tec SU16c

I had one and fully regret getting rid of it. Pretty hard to find them now. Very light yet fun and easy to shoot. I was stupid back then...

    Beretta APX A1

I tried the APX and couldn't stand the trigger. Felt great in the store. One of the best triggers when I dry fired but after purchasing and going to the range, I sold it faster than I bought it. Every shot pinched the crap out of my finger. I've shot pretty much every handgun and NEVER had one...

Pocket guns. 380 versus 38 special snub

I totally understand. Bullet performance is very important. One really need to vet and see what performs best for their platform. The 158 gr bullet stopping at 14.3" is much better (for me) than a 90 gr acting like a fmj. My main point though if I want something better than 38 special I'd just...

Pocket guns. 380 versus 38 special snub

A heavier bullet with more penetration and similar expansion, 38 over 380 EVERY day for me. I've had a 380 and was so underwhelmed I'll never give it a second look. Just me though. If I want a micro semiauto to do more I'll do my 365 9mm. There really is zero purpose or use for a 380 IMHO...

    CZ P-01 Omega

Can never go wrong with a CZ. Probably my favorite hand guns. Have a CZ Rami that is my all time favorite gun.

What is your home defense pistol choice?

The one that my hand happens to touch first in the bedside safe.

    Oops I did it again...

To quote Britney.....I did it again. Throughout my life of firearm ownership I've pretty much stayed grounded in my love for DA/SA semi-autos and revolvers. Like the late, great Whitney Houston, "I will always love" them....But I reentered my love/hate relationship with Gaton's fantastic...

    I think I'm becoming a revolver guy

I've always been a revolver guy and always will be.... BUT I currently have more semi's than revolvers. I love everything about revolvers except capacity. If it's for target shooting and fun, I chose revolver. For carry right now it's semi, mainly because my smallest current revolver is a 4"

    Question for Die-Hard Revolver Fans

I prefer CZs and HKs. Any quality DA/SA

Brand new Charter Arms Undercover - Not Pleased at all

My Charter 357 bulldog is one of the best Snubbies I've ever owned. DA is buttery smooth and gun has been nothing but 100% reliable. Sorry to hear that yours isn't but sent it to them, I'm 100% they'll fix it.

For those who choose a shotgun over a carbine for defense:

I consider my 12 ga bullpup to be my "ultimate" home defense weapon. At 5+1 with an 18" barrel loaded with 4 buck, it'll easily dispatch any threat handily. I however don't currently keep it bedside, but I see any of my 9mm or 357s that are bedside plenty of defense for anything I'm likely to face.

Do You Carry a Snubby? Why? Prove it.

MCB, I can't unsee that monstrosity :uhoh:. I'm just playing with you (kind of). I've seen grips like that before. If it works for you that's all that matters. I just can't wrap my head around it at the moment though... Maybe if I held it and experienced how it felt in my hand I might think...

    DOUBLE ACTION ONLY

I also prefer the traditional DA/SA but have owned and carried DAO semis, the Sig p250 being the cream of the crop IMHO. In all actuality any revolver you carry would function as a DAO in any self defense situation even if it has a hammer. Let's be honest, you aren't going to have time to pull...

    compact revolver suggestion

My vote goes with the Charter mag pug 357. Very affordable but also extremely reliable. The grip is very comfortable and the DA out of the box is smoother and lighter than the Ruger sp101 I had. Smoother than any Smith I've owned without any work, for that matter. Plus if you ever need to...

    How not to open carry...

Both instances may or may not have been avoided with a secure holster. Fact is, in both instances the people were targeted BECAUSE they were open carrying. I personally don't see open carrying as a deterrent as those who advocate for it try to say. It makes you the primary target (especially if...
