i would rather get a 30-06 if you get a modern one you can handload stuff that gets it close to .300 win mag and i just really like the caliber
my first gun was a 1903 springfeild and i still have a 1917 eddystone i love the eddystone nice gun.
the .308 is nice but theres not much surplus...
sorry to pull a necro thread but does anyone know if brass is still avaiable for this i cant do it now but i am definitly interested in doing this as my next project sometime around the early part of the year.
something about 600 grn slugs just puts a smile on my face
i think it would be instesting to see if you could make a handload with a 400 or 500 grain bullet and get it down to about 800-900 fps enough so it does damage up close but wont go through my house the neighbors house ect.
definitly suspenders i havent got my ccw yet but carrying around wallet full of crap keys surefire knife cellphone leatherman and more crap drags my pants down its much more comforable with them the only problem is you need to wear an undershirt.
when i was in high school for welding we did a lot of dumb things with actealine and oxygen filling a ballon with acetyline just makes a big black cloud and a barely any noise.
filling one with acetaline and adding a hint of oxygen makes one hell of a giagantic boom had someone throw one...
i think a lot of the ones on the sides are from pepole hitting the part of the target carrier that is angle iorn to defelct rounds so it dosent get damaged at least at the range i used to go to
probably a .22 rifle of somekind and an additional handgun in .357 you can kill a black bear with .357 and its the biggest they get around here.
a .22 will kill deer birds squirrels rabbits pretty much anything if you do your part its light and you can carry a lot more ammunition 100 rounds...
bring them to a gun store it should be legal for them to posess them as long as you get them there.
if there are any questions you could allways explain it was granpas old guns you found them in a trunk were afraid of not being licensed and wanted to get rid of them .
my oldest gun if from the 1840's it dosent looks pretty and the lock needs a main spring but i bet it would still be fireable if it got a new spring.
i had a mosin m39 for a while that was from the 1890's and worked fine i bet that thing will still be shooting in 100 years for sure
i only wear eyes when i go hunting birds because i like to be able to hear and a lot of pepole go to the place i go.
i figure my greatest danger would be some pelets coming through a hedgerow someone dosent know im on the other side of plus i only fire 1-5 rounds of 12 ga on average per...
if it could go back to anything they made it would be colt.
i would be mightly happy with a colt monitor a detective special 1911 and maybe an andaconda oh and one of those police positives in .22lr
yeah i was wondering the same thing i thought it was my firewall so i shut it down and have been messing with my computer thinking i did something to it lol.
i like to eat stuff that isint avaiable in stores i usualy just do phesants hopefully i will get a deer this year i havent had the time to go ever and i really want to
i have a surefire ed2 defender i like it i have had it a year or more i dont really remeber when i got it i have used it underwater.
beaten a peice of wood to see what the scaloped part does and it leaves quite the pattern in the wood with no ill effect to the light.
and it makes a handy...
one of their mags is the only one my gun works with every time with 7rounds the 47d i have had it for years.
