    Lee loader

Wow. I have been reloading for a while now having started from scratch with a soup to nuts LCT setup. But reading this thread gives me a whole new appreciation of the caliber of reloaders on the forum and reminds me why I came here first when I was starting out. Great advice all.

    need help reloading 380 auto

I have great luck with hp38/w231 using 100gr Berrys HBRN and 95gr LRN. I see slightly better and cleaner results using N320 with the same bullets, but both powders are excellent.

Is there really a lead dust issue tumbling brass

+1 on the dryer sheet. I add 4 or 5 1"x3" strips per load along with a capful of nufinish with my 50-50 cob/walnut media (covered). No dust. Of course I always tumble outside for noise reasons too.

    primer buying methods

Powder valley usually with a 1000 once in a while from my little LGS just to make sure the guy keeps what I shoot (fed) in stock.

    Buy new or make due

I agree with those who say definitely take the free press and make the most of it, for many reasons. For one, it will certainly make anyone involved feel just plain old good about the equipment getting some use, and beyond that, who couldnt find use for a good simple press no matter how fancy a...

3 or 4 die set - reliable auto feeding

If you are loading on a single stage and plan to use the same bullet all the time you should be fine with 3 dies once you get them set properly. If you are using a turret/progressive there is no reason not to use 4 dies (unless you need a spot for a powder check and only have 4 stations). If you...

    Favorite .45ACP powder

Good call on the ZIP. Excellent powder. I dont stock it but would not hesitate to use it anywhere I use HP38/W231 or N320

    Favorite .45ACP powder

Its a tossup between HP38/W231 and N320. I did just order a 4# jug of N320 though, but mostly because I know I can always get HP38/W231 local. Both are deadly accurate, N320 is just a tad cleaner and for me has a smoother recoil.

Press Kit Review: Lee Classic Turret

That is very interesting, I always avoid turning the turret when the ram is all the way down, regardless of the direction it is coming from, but this makes perfect sense when you put it that way. I also agree with the the previous poster though when he says if you make sure the ram is...

    Where to get tumbling meda?

+1 to GP100's post. I use those products 50-50 and use a capful of NuFinish and a few scraps of old dryer sheets. 45-60 minutes of tumbling and I have nice clean cases with some shine. If I wanted them spotless I could go for much longer but that is more than enough time for them to be functional.

Reloading 9mm-Do You Clean Your Primer Pockets?

Heck no. I havent even seen my last 10K handgun primer pockets unless you count range pickups that the primer fell out of. 0 FTFire using Fed primers. I deprime, size, and prime at station one 100% of the time when loading for handguns.

    1st set of Lee dies

Agreed about the inspection and clean. Disagree with removing the powder drop "jiggle" functionality that Lee designed. That "grab" shakes free any clinging powder for more consistent drops. The o-rings work fine for me.

8 out of around 100 rounds fail to fire, primer failure ideas?

whoa- am I the only one who has a serious problem with this idea? Please do not do this unless you pull the bullet and powder first. then you can try to reseat and see if you can get the primer to fire (no need to reassemble the cartridge, you are just testing the primer) Please do not try...

    On the fence

do it. you wont regret it. I doubt you will truly "save" money, because you will just end up shooting more for the same amount you used to spend on factory ammo, but you will become a better shooter and learn a lot in the process. If I absolutely, positively HAD to make a shot, it would be...
