    New to me Marlin 39A

the four screws on the left side of the barrel was done at the factory for mounting a scope. the 39a is one of the best 22lr made. yes some can have problems, but most are just "good shooters" without any problems. i use one in nra smallbore lever action silhouette matches.

no higher than $50.00 for 1k. when things get back to somewhat normal the prices should be under $50.00 dollars for 1k.

    Economics of casting?

casting is like reloading. you never count your time into the factor. casting was the way to go until they starting making wheel weights out of zinc and steel. now days if you get a 5 gallon bucket of wheel weights you are lucky to get 1/4 in lead wheel weights.

    Powder prices? Seriously?????

i feel for the people that did not plan for hard times. no i don't. with all the crap over the past 20 years you should have seen this coming. you should have "buy it cheap, stack it deep" when you had the chance. you will never see low prices on ammo and/or reloading components again.
